People from the Western Kingdom have noted -
- A common attitude seen among the Drow - is that almost all of them lack any form of compassion, or kindness to members of other races.
- Most see other races as slaves like an Oxe or Mule. Some odd Drow are often kind to pets and seen as an odd cat-lady.
- Other races are simply seen as wealth in one form or another (those that are free in the cities are clearly the wealth of one great clan or another).
- House and Clan loyalty and prosperity is important.
- As a race they are very comfortable with mass deaths, on a scale that is simply not normal.
City-states
These city-states differ in many things but here are some of the things understood to be common among them -
- Those in the cities (other than the Drow) wear badges which have special colours which detail the individuals rank and social standing.
- Travel between the different cities is in some places almost a mystic art to make it safely from place to place. This is said to be because of the remains of the ancient war of tears, leaving chaos & mana-storms. These events that are ever-shifting often impact on the areas between cities and trade.
- Rumour has it that the Priest of the Temples and the Sacrifices they maintain - help to keep the chaos & troubles away.
- Practicing sacrifice & blood magic is common throught out the cities.
- All of them are ruled by the Drow, with other populations of slaves being Drow, Elves, Humans, Hobbits & Half-giants.
- Most are politically independent (sometimes even going to war).
- Travel times between the cities differ from what is often expected.
- Many cities share factions such as large powerful Clan families, Military schools & orders, along with groups of traders and guides.
- Powerful Priesthoods often span many cities.
- The Ash alliance is a widely supported political & temple groups which runs Terranova.
