The Riverman

The Riverman is a clanless wanderer, reputed to be a powerful Water Mage by non-residents. To the locals he is a trader who trades in rare healing herbs. He lives on the Mahakam river system that runs through Umshatar and Mercato in a flat-bottomed skiff with a small shelter at the back. He is a emaciated old man who poles his way along the river talking to himself and giggling. The Riverman and his boat are two halves of the same spirit/entity. :The boat was created by the little people who live below.

A Guild Party originally tracked down the soul of the Riverman who had been kidnapped and was guarded by Giant Cockroaches.
