Session 1

The First Leg of the Journey

After meeting the rest of the party, we meet our employer who was the guild astrologers. Apparently they had been looking into the future again and witnessed a group of adventurers going through a portal and then coming back to Alusia through another portal carrying lots of loot and now they that have witnessed said vision they want to make sure it comes true. Given what we had learned about other party members the way this vision was seen we concluded Lim must travel through these two portals last.

The guild was providing us with a stone tablet to activate the gate which was located in Sith Revenge and had arranged for a ship to take us there. Payment was discussed. With this all sorted we started organising to ‘gear up’ before leaving the guild. We get our Greaters from Herkim, Lim and Kerry went herb shopping.

In the morning we headed down to the docks to board the awaiting vessel, The Salty Tooth Captained by Bubo, which had a 20ft tablet strapped to its deck, a minor detail the guild left out. We are told not to get in the way of a crew mate known a Fudge before setting sail 2 days to our location.

Upon arrival at a swamp Lim bound an extremely large area of water and used it once we reached the Masa inside the swamp, to scale the ship up the side in something he referred to as reverse waterfalling. Once up and we had all made our way off the ship in various means, Basalic and Lim worked together to find out where we needed to be going on top of the mesa, learning of a Deep pool of mana about a mile into the mesa.

Once we made our way to the mana pool the large stone tablet was stood up in the space and a ritual was preformed by the crew mates who had joined us out there. Large cracks started to form in the tablet and a gateway opened up, leading the party through we arrived the other side in a mostly circular 13ft wide tunnel. Deciding to follow the tunnel up to where a breeze was coming from before whatever large entity who made the tunnel came back we walked for a while before Basalic, who was up ahead because he had decided to sing and no one else wanted that beacon of death, started to hear people speaking. Basalic started to make hand gestured before he was reminded we had a Mind Speech running. Lim Crystal of Visioned out to the mouth of the tunnel which was 200ft out from him, and saw a Military Outpost but counted get much more detail.

We agreed sending Vixen our best Courtier out to talk to them was a good idea, I went with to ensure she wasn’t alone. A few arrows flew over my head as we were confronted by a force armed with bows. We learned that they were guarding the tunnels so that something they called “Death” didn’t come out and that we were outside someplace called the Peaks of Sheer. Bringing the rest of the party out they DAed a large humanoid beast and learned that we were on the Plane of Uldur and that it was something called a Siege Beast.
