Pontaningal is a coastal province formed from a vast flood plain from the River Kaupoeas. The province is bordered to the north by Keisarangan and Serawak, to the east by Madi and to the south by Matan.

The western quarter of the province is a massive floodplain where the waters of the mighty Kaupoeas river splits into 4 major rivers and hundreds of smaller channels. At the end of the monsoon season as water comes down from the hills in the Madi province this area is completely under water. Once it recedes it leaves behind some of the most fertile soil on the island.

Unlike most of the island the province is knows for it's meat animals, particularly the water buffalo used for transport, dinner and as a source of fertiliser.

This family is in the odd position where the women have outlasted the men and so the women have a strong influence on the direction of the house. Rumour abound that the weakly Ancus is likely to be replaced with his sister in the first Matriarchal House on the Island.

The Family

Advisors and Members of Court

  • Bitucus Fadius - Trade Advisor, believed to be a 'favourite' of Cremutia Nipius Dioges.

Diplomacy

The house is in a position where most other Houses see them as either a threat or a worthy target for conquest. Should the House become Matriarchal it is expected that a number of neighbours would become more openly belligerent.
