Background

The Duke of Aquila is dead, and King Ulric threatened. There was a terrorist attack in the Cathedral at noon on Michaelmas Day. The Western Kingdom is destabilised. Black undead beasts ravaged the cathedral, killing favoured cousins of the Marquesa of Bowcourt. Rashak is suspected to have done this.

30TH Harvest

The situation changes. We travel to Bergelfen to meet with Ilya for further instruction. On arrival in Bergelfen we are advised that a party of nobles from Bowcourt are occupying a suite at the Regency Hotel and have killed two guardsmen.

Ilya advises for our information that several high-ranking nobles have bee attainted for treason. Warrants have been issued for their immediate and irresurrectible deaths. The list is:

1. Baron Gael of Bowcourt
2. Count Richard of Foxcourt
3. Bertrand of Ostow
4. Enric, Lieutenant of the North
5. Willem of Tilsar
6. Baron Gerthane of Aquila

Upon further investigation, the party staying at the Regency are lead by one Baron Gael of Bowcourt. Upon his refusal to surrender to the local authorities, the Warrant is executed. Incidental bodyguards and valets are casualties.

Party findings show that Baron Gerthane is on his way to Foxcourt, and has recently passed through Innesburg. Gerthane is protected by Moonshay and Raith according to anecdotal evidence. Gerthane appears to be playing a deep game, which Moonshay and Raith become aware of through divers means.

Various events occur which notify the party that the Guild is being set up to appear as Assassins and to summon Demonic Emperors. The Guild and other necessary authorities are alerted in prompt order.

A short visit is paid to Lutontoun in Fesenheim, the residence of Enric, Lieutenant of the North. It appears that Enric has been spirited from his bed. By report, no family members are seriously harmed. The bodyguards of the deceased Baron Gael are sighted locally.

As Willem of Tilsar is paying a visit to Bertrand of Ostow, and as the weather is good in Ostow at this time of year, other visiting also occurs. Reports from Ostow indicate the death and disappearance of both Bertrand and Willem, and a fire in the town on the same night. No Guild Members, ex-bodyguards or Moonshay and Raith are sighted in the vicinity.

13th Vintage

The party attends a small and intimate gathering at Isil-Eth's palace in Aladar. It is confirmed that Count Richard has once again escaped certain death and has been sent into exile.

The party returns to the Guild and concludes the remainder of their employment.
