Spirit graal
A device taking the form of a large silver chalice, guarded by Inanna and containing the essence / souls of twelve Ancient Dragons.
After the first dragons departed Alusia they dwelt for ages on Draconia, the refuge they had constructed for themselves.
Over the aeons first one, and then another wearied of life and wished to pass from the mortal realms but they had sworn that they would one day return to their first world and oppose Baal when he was inevitably released. As a compromise they constructed a mystical device into which they could put their essence, giving up their mortal bodies and finding rest until the day when they were summoned back to Alusia.
Eriskigal could never find the peace to enter the graal, and her sister Inanna also remained behind to guard the graal and await the call to return.
When the Guild party seeking the lost dragons discovered Draconia and called the dragons home Inanna returned to Alusia with the graal and there the twelve spirits within it were released, inhabited dragon statues in the temple of Xanadu, and subsequently left Alusia (and the mortal realms) along with the returned Baal.
Inanna and the now presumably empty graal have not been seen since. The dragons in the graal were:
Damkina
First generation, wife of Ea and, with her husband, most powerful dragon after Baal and Anu.
Her powers lay in the Earth, Fertility, and Vegetation, and she was called Queen of the Mountain.
Ea
First generation, husband of Damkina and, with his wife, most powerful dragon after Baal and Anu.
His powers lay in Intellect, Wisdom, Creation, and Medicine, and he was called Lord of the Sweet Waters, and Lord of the Bright Eye.
Ea was instrumental in helping create their refuge of solace: Draconia.
Gula
First generation, wife of Ninurta.
Her powers lay in life, death, and healing. She was also calledn Nin'insina.
Marduk
Second generation, son of Ea and Damkina, also known as Bel.
Marduk's powers lay in thunderstorms, lightning and light and he was very martial. In humanoid form his skin had a greenish hue and he possessed a tall reptilian crest. During the war against Baal, Marduk is said to have slain both Apollyon and Abaddon and in some way taken part of the latter's power.
Mummu
First generation, husband of Mylitta.
His powers lay in crafting, forging, and technical construction. Mummu's wife was slain in the war against Baal, and he himself was lamed, so that forever after his humanoid form walked with a limp. Mummu was instrumental in creating the tomb/prison for Baal and never forgave his actions.
Mummu was the driving force behind the creation of Draconia.
Ninazu
Second generation, son of Ninurta and Gula, and father of Nin-gizhida and Ninlu.
His powers lay in the elemental and primeval forces of magic, and along with Mummu he was largely responsible for creating the tomb/prison for Baal.
Ninazu was of major assistance in the creation of their refuge of solace: Draconia.
Ningal
First generation, wife of Sin.
Her powers lay in phases, cycles, and the Moon, and she was called the Great Queen.
Ninurta
First generation, husband of Gula.
His powers lay in rain, thunderstorms, and war. Ninurta was unusual in that he did not take humanoid form, but preferred to appear as a winged leopard. He was a mighty warrior and was responsible for slaying Ahriman during the war against Baal and his sons.
Nusku
Second generation, son of Girru & Silili, both of whom were slain in the war against Baal.
Nusku's powers lay in light and fire and he had special abilities against creatures of darkness and the underworld. In humanoid form his hair appeared to be on fire, continually crackling with flame.
Sin
First generation, husband of Ningal.
His powers lay in change, revolution, and the Moon, and he was called Lord of Destiny.
Uttu
Second generation, daughter of Ea and Damkina.
Uttu's powers lay in spiders and weaving.
Utu-Shamash
Second generation, son of Sin and Ningal.
He was a great warrior, law-giver and judge, and posessed an army of scorpion-men (centaur-like beings with scorpionoid lower bodies). He often chose to appear in this form himself.
