Even Sanctuary has its innocents - or at least people who don't appreciate the level of crime and corruption around them, and are always used more than they use.

Aristarchus
Troll slave / circus display. Rescued by Wess and her northern friends from the circus. He fought in the Kingdom Wars alongside humans. He is quite intelligent and speaks common and Reichspiel fluently. Aristarchus has golden grey-flecked hair and large green eyes. He is an old troll but can still eat a horse. He works for Melilot the Scribe as a research assistant. He lives in a basement in the Northern end of Downtown. He has also published the first known work on Troll Metaphysics.
He is genial and good natured, and will usually agree with whoever is speaking to him. He likes to play practical jokes on his friends, and gently manipulate them into behaving as he wants by playing stupid and appearing to "try hard" to be human. His friends usually like him more after one of these pranks.

He maintained an apartment in the Jeweller's Quarter where his two women live (of whom he is quite jealous). He is usually ready for a brawl or a drink, depending on his mood. Although appearing initially dumb, he has some education from the Norden king, his father. He is a drinking buddy of Cappen Varra.
