Human the Fool

Human's Pact to Helios

Details

Increased Fatigue

Human the Fool has absorbed a large amount of raw magic after being exposed to the blood of the Laughing God. This higher than natural fatigue is for the casting of spells only and recovers after normal fatigue. The extra fatigue will decrease over time unless made permanent by buying it with experience. It will decrease by however many multiples of the characters Willpower it is per season. Each point can be bought at a cost of 1500; the normal stat buying restrictions do not apply. For each multiple of WP the character has of current extra Fatigue reduce the backfire threshold for spells by 10 when using this pool. Devices which reduce and/or effect FT can affect this pool, e.g. portals which strip all FT when used. Current Extra Fatigue 12

Questionable Sanity

Fuelled by horrific visions Human may spend 1WP prior to casting Nightmare (Illusion- S14) to either ignore any casting restrictions or to add five ranks to the spell (may go above rk 20). Multiple WP points may be spent on a cast attempt. Lost WP returns at the rate of 1 point per uninterrupted sleeping session of at least eight hours.

Coat of Scales

Human has had his skin changed to leathery scales which provide 10 protection (5 vs. EN blows). Various cosmetic changes (eyes, tongue, genitals) also are lizard like in appearance. Should Human suffer a spec grev his protection is reduced by 2 (1 vs. EN) until the spec grev damage is healed. Human cannot wear normal armour.

Trollskin

Human recovers 1EN per pulse from damage except that inflicted by fire/acid or blessed weapons (including holy water). He recovers from grievous damage as if under the care of a rank ten Healer (except for resurrection of course) unless the grievous was inflicted by the aforementioned means.

Willpower

Human has been granted the ability to rank his WP beyond the regular five point increase to the racial max of 25' by his God Helios. The first point was bestowed free but all subsequent points follow normal stat buy guidelines.

Frozen Luck

At any time the bearer may substitute a number from the list instead of a dice roll caused by their actions. Each number can only be used once. If used for single digit rolls the last digit counts.

Brightrock Badge

An identity token in the Trading House of the Bright trading posts. This will afford the wearer a 10% discount on goods proffered in the trading houses of the Bright. There are trading houses in Seagate, MMUS, Waterford and Ranke. There are other sites around Alusia (GM discretion). The operators of these posts will be of a more favourable disposition towards a person wearing this badge. If they can help them in their endeavours by the way of information or organising a favour they will do so if it will not affect profits unduly. Magical effect: The wearer can increase their effective agility during combat by +2 once a day (midnight to midnight).

Permanent Luck

The Lunar Empire maintains a 'book of luck' with Human's name in it, which will give him good luck – the same as Amulet of Luck, but he no longer has to wear one. As the luck comes from the book, not him, it works even after death.
