Bolar lies on the western edge of the Aladar/Aquila border and was one of the Counties to gain additional land in the settlements at the end of the War. It now extends from the middle of the Pagan Mountains up to the range of hills separating Bolar from Erisberg.
The land is very rugged consisting of Mountain ranges and forested lands. Food is imported to many of the larger towns from other counties and this constant drain on the counties finances has stopped Bolar from becoming a financial powerhouse in the realm.
The County is known for it's craftsmen, particularly in arms and armour, with Bolar Plate being sought after throughout the Western Kingdom. It is also known for it's porcelain and fine blue glass originating from the town of Ravens Keep the capital of one of the baronies gained after the war.
