Ivinian Housing & Ships
Some are stave-built of vertical boards, some are timber framed with wattle-and-daub covering walls of hurdlework, and some are log huts, with clay caulking to seal gaps and keep out drafts. There area in front of the main door was often paved with large stones.
The hearth is in the center of the building, and outbuildings - barns, stables and the like - were to the rear. In towns the buildings are smaller, and the main doorway is in one of the narrow ends, which faces onto the earth streets.
