Briar is a breed of dog developed by the nomadic centaurs that live north of Paradise Valley on the Plane of Sol. Used by the centaurs as guards for their camps and cattle herds, as well as hunting companions. Once fully grown, Briar will be a large long legged dog, able to keep up with a centaur, or a horse, and prepared to take on the fiercest prey or predator for his "pack".
He is grey, black and tan in colour, with a rough wiry coat and when fully grown will be 3ft 6inches at the shoulder. (think wolf hound but heavier built)

The dog will Melee attack with a bite BC of 60%, (D+1) or bite in close with a BC of 65%, (D+3) Reduce the BC by 10% and Damage by 1 for the puppy.
History
Born in the spring of 805.
Summer 806. Accompanied Menolly away on adventure to the Plane of Farwey on Oh! Not another Bard!. His first flying experience worked a treat, the second time he fell from the sky and broke his pelvis, "ouchie". During the adventure he ended up in a conversation with a cat, who happened to be an agent for "that person we shall not name" and now is friendly to cats.
Autumn 806. Briar accompanied Menolly on her adventure The Mystery of the Missing Mana and when the party entered a pine forest under the influence of an aging spell, he aged 2 months in half a day.
Summer 807. Briar accompanied Menolly on her adventure Deserts, Dungeons and Dwarves helping sniff out our quarry. He spent some time on adventure training with Menolly.
Autumn 807. Briar and Menolly completed 2 and half months of Beast Master training together.
Winter 807. Briar and Basil are wintering over and training at the stables of Strecker's Farm with Master Bowgone WormRider while Menolly is away on adventure.
Summer 808. Briar and Basil and Belle accompanied Menolly on adventure to the Plane of Iska to help find some lost Halflings.
Autumn 808. Briar and Basil are training at the stables of Strecker's Farm with Master Bowgone WormRider while Menolly is away on adventure.
