Kornerupine

A goddess, originally from the time-looping plane of Icefall, Kornerupine appears as a strong and attractive* human woman dressed in simple tunic and trousers, equipped with the tools of a smith or mechanician, and bearing the scars and calluses associated with those professions.

A fragment or remnant of the goddess was brought to Alusia by Mortimer Graves bound into the form of a small stone figurine that he was given by an inhabitant of Icefall named Chevron the Shaper.

On the dying plane of Klikeg, this fragment was exposed to massive energies from the God Engines, many of which she absorbed, restoring much that she had lost. Now returned to Alusia she is adjusting and further building that power towards a stable divinity and considering the merits of various local pantheons while focusing on recruiting mortals inclined to her priesthood and worship.

Before her phase of Icefall was torn apart, her followers were capable of wonderous shaping, amazing fusions of magic and complex mechanics. She thinks the mortals of Alusia have great potential and works to keep them alive long enough to achieve those wonders, possibly even within a millennium.

  • Her effective PB varies based on the abilities of the observer. PB: 10 + your rank in Mechanician + a portion of your ranks in Philosopher and Artisan skills.
  • She inspires invention, design, and crafting.
  • She is generally benevolent but not necessarily kind and understands that Courtier is a specialist tool for use on sentients, just not in her toolbox.
  • She has no time for braggarts and warmongers (divine or mortal). While she does appreciate how wars sometimes accelerate invention, shortcuts like that are rarely worth it in the long run.
  • It seems adventurers are sometimes useful but they are not her favourites. Focus and dedication to a craft is the surest way to win her favour.
