Hugler's Ferry is a very small village consisting of a few dozen families. The Smithy and mill have both been repaired and some of the farms nearby are producing enough produce to keep the village going. The town is also assisted by the Knights Templar who are a days ride up the Champion River. The township is surprisingly well constructed, typically better than that expected in a small town of this size. Some say inhabitants of the town tend to have good luck
This town was once the seat of power for the influential clan Hugler. The town is named after the clan, as was the Barony. The Baron of Hugler was killed during the Dark Circle War and survived by his wide and young son. His wife, with the support of Duke Leto, has delared herself Dowager Baroness Huger until her son comes of age. She currently resides in a small but beautifully decorated two story building in town. It is rumored she is supported by funds from her clan in North Aquila.

The town is reputedly heavily warded against Demons worshipers and undead.
- Pyk
A small village south of Hugler's Ferry settled by Ex-eltrandorian troops
- Oradour-sur-Glayne
This village (that is immediately West of Hugler's ferry) has become the home for 253 settlers and their families from Eltrandor in Glayne Manor. The elevated village sits atop an old ruin from ancient times that is known as Glayne by the historians who know little else of the village. The village was mostly destroyed during the Dark Circle war but has been partially rebuilt to the start of Spring 807 with the main street being rebuilt along with 2 additional 40 foot tall watch towers in the South and East of the village.
The village reeve is Vaughn Trelb (ex Sergeant-Major) and an organized man who has been an engineer for a number of years. He is efficient and studious in his dealings with people, although some would say he treats them as goods to 'be dealt with' rather than people. He gets on best with people who speak as he does, crisp, concise, exact and specific.
The residents of this village are a mix of engineers, heavy cavalry, hobellars and some medium infantry from what was the Eltrandorian Military fighting in Brastor. These men provide a core of competent Yeomanry for the village, having taken land in the area as reward for their wartime service and continuing to serve 2 months a year for their new Lady of Glayne.
Glayne Manor has been given to Kiera Varden (ex Lt Colonel) in recognition of her and her troops sacrifices on behalf of Brastor Kiera is a very skilled engineer who learned her trade at the knees of her father Conrad Varden the ex Royal Engineer of Eltrandor.
- Huglers Bridge
This bridge across the Champion River enables the smooth flow of transport and communications between Westgate & South to central Brastor - well at least it did before the Undead scourge destroyed it in 806.
The old bridge was mainly wooden with stone support and crossed the river some 10 foot above its level but Lady Kiera Varden of Glayne, has designed a much more solid bridge that has a slight arch above the river and sits upon 6 stone piers sunk deep into the river to provide stability and the Duke and Baroness have agreed to the plans and provided funds.. The bridge at the centre will enable 30ft clearance to the water in the center and sloping down to a minimum of 15ft clearance at the ends. The bridge will be 40ft wide to enable large wagons and the like to pass either side on the bridge and the length of the bridge will be 100ft longer at 600ft in length. Lady Kiera Varden of Glayne and her engineers have started work on the foundations and completed 1 pier by the end of Summer 808 and they merely await new stone materials to continue their work on the structure. They estimate to complete a pier every 2 months from the end of Summer 808 with an estimated completion date of the end of Autumn 810 if they get the required labor and materials.
- Ville de Roygiers
This village SE of Hugler's Ferry has become the home of some 245 Eltrandorian Heavy Infantry, who choose to remain after hard fighting for the area during the Dark Circle War The village is part of Roygiers Manor which was given to Sir Gareth Palathar (Lt Colonel - retired) in recognition of service rendered by him and his men..
The village has had most of the walls rebuilt and a number of residences restored along with a small bridge over the Lending River that pass through the village before it meets the Champion River. One part of the village that escaped destruction was Roygiers Chapel, which along with its surrounding churchyard was unscathed during the war for some reason. This has made the Roygiers Chapel a site of much interest and is regularly visited by people from nearby towns and villages who come to pray to Raphael.
Zeke Von Doyston (ex Sergeant-Major) has been made the reeve by Sir Gareth as Zeke is a man venerated by soldiers and respected by officers and nobles alike for his generous and affable personality as well as his love of people and their lives. Zeke has made the new settlers into a community rather than a military unit, although they remain experienced military men when in need and are very competent troops when called up for service.
Sir Gareth Palathar of Roygiers is a stout and solid man capable of user a pike for hours with considerable skill. He is direct and to the point in everything he does. He has directed the rebuilding of Roygiers Manor on its old site but with a better wall and deep moat filled with water as part of the new changes.
The settlers have welcomed some of the old settlers back to the area and are making every effort to work with them to create a better future for all.
