Arandor - Elven Mind Mage Guard

History

Arandor grew up in Alfhiem as an only child to a military family, and as expected went into the family trade as a Household Guard. The Household fell into disrepute around 800 WK and the household scattered in shame.

Arandor left Alfhiem and travelled to the western kingdom seeking work as a household guard, along the way he fell into the stereotype elf woodsman as employment which he (naturally) had aptitude for. However he desired to join the formal military and was rebuffed due to racial prejudice. It was suggested he try the Seagates Adventures guild, particular to hone his skills

Arriving at the Seagates Adventures guild at the turn of the century he (with some difficulty) taught a college – Mind, which would assist his intentions to become a military officer.

At the guild he has been exposed to a wide range of individuals and cultures and is no longer a shocked by them now, he has decided to treat all Guild members as you would an eccentric patron, and ignore as many of the oddities. In addition he has become more accepting of the more, umm flexible approach taken by many people to interpretations of the Law and accepted practices.

He regards many of the human law agencies, such as the watch, guards, sheriffs etc. as untrustworthy and often corrupt so tends to avoid them unless others recommend turning to them.

He prefers to stand back, observe and learn as he regards himself a quite young (not yet 100) and still feels there is much in the world he needs to learn about.

However in his heart he is a Law abiding, Defender of people and is an honourable foreigner in a strange land, but understands that isn't always appropriate.

One day, after a suitable time elapses, he hopes to return to Home full of knowledge of the outside world, in the mean time he spends his time either as a games keeper in Braster, or doing the odd job at the Seagates Adventures guild. Most of his employment has either been escorting, or rescuing people.
