The Cape of Maelstroms

It is notorious for gales and heavy seas. The area is pock marked with reefs and rocks causing it to be traversed only by experienced captains unless you wish to risk everything. Passage through and around the cape is usually 4-8 hours in length depending on the ship, weather and other conditions.
