Zeylandia Plateau

A shallow water area in the Southern Ocean (around latitude 40-45 South) on which Zeyland and associated islands sit. The area is largely uninhabited although the Pasifikan merfolk have established colonies on the northern edge. One of these colonies consists of worshippers of Vephar who were banished from Pasifika by King Kierl several years ago.

The waters here are cooler than on Pasifika so there is not the large diversity of marine life. Corals only grow on the northern area. Most of the interior of Zeylandia, especially the southern regions, is unexplored so anything could be lurking there.
