Messer’s Tonkin and Dabb are a Sanctuary-based company of earnest and hard-working solicitors and notaries, with an impeccable reputation. They are reliable, discrete, and prompt with their billing. Although both are human (Mr Tonkin was originally from MMHS, and Mr Dabb is a local lad), their client base is primarily elven. They have built a reputation for winning at any cost (financial or moral). Tonkin and Dabb are one of the most respected law firms in the Baronies, and recent graduates from many law schools queue up to apply as junior advocates. The conditions and working environment must be excellent, as no one has ever been known to leave Tonkin and Dabb for other employment, although several lawyers have retired to the surrounding countryside.

While their full client list is one of their better-kept secrets, Melarshain, Renn, Manon, and Shamut & Dansea are known to have used their services.

Unsubstantiated, potentially libellous Claims

It is said that all the advocates at Tonkin and Dabb are pacted to various gods and demons, as part of their contractual arrangement. Likely powers include: the Earl of Justice, Lady Justice, the Duke of Thoughts, the Earl of Rhetoric, Ils of a Thousand Eyes, and Theba the Protector. It is also said that no one has ever detected a lie spoken by any advocate, or has ever doubted their sworn word. They are 97% loyal to their current clients, including beyond death, although this decreases on a pro rata basis if there are outstanding accounts receivable.
