This is basically a series of notes, on my philosophy of being a good warrior.

  • Always remember you're there to help protect the rest of your team and your principle (if you have one)
  • If you are assigned to protect someone, then that's what you do. No rushing off to go smack someone unless you are quite sure any other potential threats to your principle have already been neutralised.
  • Always assess the situation you're about to get into before charging in. Charging in blindly against an overwhelming foe, especially without backup, isn't brave, it's suicidal.
  • If someone else does charge, then follow them as backup. They're probably going to need it.
  • I don't believe in fighting an enemy from behind. Always face your foe bravely and with honour.
  • Also, striking someone when they're down is also dishonorable. Just ensure their threat has been neutralised and move on.
  • Watch your back. Also, if you can, watch someone else's back. Unfortunately using an object to guard your back doesn't always work.
  • Going into close against an armed opponent is NOT a good idea. Unless you really know exactly what you're doing.
  • Keep an eye on the rest of your team. If someone is in trouble, do what you can to help them.
  • Protect the innocent and try to avoid collateral damage. It's messy.
  • The loot isn't, hopefully, going anywhere. Worry about it later.
