The plateau of Leung
This Plateau is on average 4,000 above sea level and is nestled in the midst of the Gyldwasser Mountains that form a natural barrier around the plain. This plateau is quite fertile and supports the people that live in these highlands quite well although some foodstuffs are obviously not grown here at such altitude.
Details
Crops grown here are Assam Herbs (tea), grapes and melons which all grow well at the high altitude and have very intense and unique flavours. The locals each year produce a large amount of juice that they distill and bottle before laying them down in large barrels in deep cellars. The area is known for its production of an alcoholic spirit named Leungs Gold which is an-aged liquor much in demand for its potency, taste and its rarity as only a limited amount is made each year.
