GLORIANA, Queen of Lilac, in acknowledgement of the generally positive outcomes of Guild parties visiting Her World, has given five magical devices for the Guild to be awarded to the worthiest of its members at Guild meeting before the Spring 823Wk adventures go out.

The items are various broaches (a.k.a. Badges) and their magic is only temporary — lasting one full Alusian Year (including the presentation day). However Her Radiance intends to send more each Alusian Quarter Day ... barring unforeseen circumstances. e.g.: It would be a Political Disaster to award any broach to a Necromancer (no matter how domesticated that guild-member appears to be).

Each broach, is round (2 inches across) and depicts the stated image. There is also the Queen's Cypher (only visible by Witchsight or when Divinated). Also there is an Acknowledgement Scroll on which the Guild officials will record the Name/ nickname/Title (etc) of the Genuine Recipient (G.R.) of each Badge and (briefly) why she, or even he, was bestowed that particular Award.

Once the appropriate GuildMaster(s) or Officials have signed the Acknowledgement Scroll, each G.R. must also promptly sign the A.S., then activate their Badge by pricking their thumb on their respective Badge pin(s)... whereupon its Magical effect will start —— but ceases to function exactly one complete Alusian year after the G.R. had signed the A.S., whereupon the Badge will turn into Brass and lose its magical bonuses.

However, on the plane of Lilac, a genuine wearer of any Badge (be it True-silver or Brass) and their family, & their mounts will customarily be sheltered and fed on the "Queen's Shilling" (e.g., free to you & party) at any Castle or town of the Queen or her underlings. However any others in your retinue (apart from essential Valets, nurses, etc.) would be probably sheltered in barns or other outbuildings.

HERALDRY: Any knights, Officers, or Nobles may enhance their Coat of Arms with images of Badges that they had been awarded — however it is considered tacky to display more than three.
