Description

Lady Amanda Tien is an immortal of the Jade Empire. She is a paragon of womanly beauty, elegant, refined and somewhat mysterious. She has expensive taste and is usually dressed in beautiful embroidered robes of an Oriental Middle Kingdom courtesan. Her base of operation is Beijing, Victoria and her patron is Wu Hsin, The Lord of Intrigues, who is high in the counsels of the mighty.

She is The Lady of Phantasms, and she has the power to vary reality, which gives her access to illusions, amongst other things. Her secondary title is Keeper of Shadows.

History

Lady Tien believes she might be a descendent of a celestial being known as The Mysterious Lady of the 9 Celestial Domain (九 天 玄 女, Jiu Tian Xuan Nu, Chiu Tien Hsuan-Nu) or even her reincarnation.

Lady Tien adventures in order to discover her ancestry and her true identity while exploring unchartered territories and improving her abilities along the way.

On her first quest, she drew all the cards from the Deck of Many Things, was blessed by the Gods in avoiding all the nasty outcomes of the deck and obtained a number of wishes and magical items.

Once again, fortune smiled at her in her first encounter with the Lady of the Abyss. Despite one of her mad phases, Miss Faversham turned one side of her phoenix fan black and gave it the effect of avoiding an attack directed at Lady Tien, once day. During the same adventure, together with Mr Morden, Adam Turf, Neroc, Keesha and Theodora, she was able to trap the immortal The Lady of Blood (aka the Vampire Queen) into the Prison of Zaygig, allowing Mr Morden to drain power from the magically imprisoned Lady of Blood. With the capture of the Lady of Blood, and the killing of the false Chloros, thereby frustrating any plans to weaken Death's Champion, Lady Tien hopes that she has made a good lasting first impression with Mark, Death's Champion.
