The Canidyae Woods

The Canidyae Woods are on the southwestern side of the Wolf River down in the area before the Wolf River joins the River Running and these woods are rumored to have Fae, druids and dryads in the area as well as some very unsavory trees.

It is an old forest with a large number of Oaks, Birch, Elm, Hazel, Poplars and the like. The trees on the outside of the forest are much younger and the growth there is slight to mild, while if you head further into the central forest the growth becomes medium to thick and in some places impenetrable. The woods are rumored to be home to a number of Druids and several Dryads. While not the entire forest is fae, a large proportion of it is and while the outer layer of the woods is easy to pass through the interior reaches are hard and almost impenetrable to non fae.

The woods are home to a number of creatures and variety of flora if you can get that deep within the woods. On the north-western edge (some 3 Miles south of D'Asheth Manor) travelers have come across a lone large blackened pine tree that is out of place with all the other trees around it and has become known as the 'Lonely Blackened Pine'. The Pine has reached some 60 foot in height and its branches and leaves have spread out to cover a similar area around it. 100ft in each direction from the trunk of the pine are large Larch trees that are growing at each of the four cardinal points. It is rumored that the Pine has become a uniquely aware being of less that hospitable disposition and a being from another plane titled it a 'Huorn'
