Notes on the outer worlds:Oz
There are two rational responses to discovering that the world you live on is but one of uncounted pieces of flotsam in a vast uncaring sea of chaos. The first is to hide under the bigest most secure thing you think you can find and is popular among dwarves. The more common result is to simply ignore it. It constantly amazes me how the lesser races carry on their insignificant scurrying about while vast unsymphaphetic minds plot their consumption by the act of pretending it's not happening. I find the former a more useful option, while ultimatly futile, at least you're trying something.
This brings me to my recent outing with the degenerates, fanatics, wierdoes and barely sientient killers more commonally known as the Seagate Adventurers Guild. We're going to Oz, a psychoreactive world seething with magic in lieu of causality. Oz is in trouble somehow although after a brief precis of how the place operates you'll wonder if this is infact not it's default condition.
Travelling to put right to wrong in Oz is:
Mortimer: A hobbit black mage who claims to of given up his demonic masters in favour of persuing steam power. Personally I think meddling with the infernal powers is the safer option, so in this case I'm inclined to believe him.
Lyric: Most dwarves are surly drunken sots with all the conversational options of a mute in airless void. Lyric however has undertaken to correct for her species stoicisim all on herself.
Valentine: A human with a serious infection of moral sense. Believes things of evil should be (stomach churning stuff ensues and is deleted in the intersts of gentler readers, like inquisitors).May also have rabies.
Teeanna: A real fairy princess and the consort of Dramus, the Big Fairy himself. Like all Elven aristos is
