Korvin's Wells

A small oasis and the remains of a small settlement on a stone mound in the Gatar Depression with a couple of deep wells bored through the stone to water nearly 100' below.

The remains of a stone wall around the settlement still stand above the sand in places as do a couple of the old stone and mud-plaster buildings. The sand that mostly buries the settlement is regularly moved by the winds, covering and uncovering different parts of the ruins.

Adventuring parties have reported finding tunnels through the rock, mostly filled with sand. It is unknown how far these tunnels extend and whether they were accommodation, mines or both was inconclusive.

The settlement once had several wells but most are now sand filled. One walled well is open with a pool of clean flowing water in a small cavern nearly 100' below. Sometimes buckets and sufficient rope to use the well are left here but wise travellers are advised to bring their own.

The more accessible water looks like it may once have been a bathing pool in the basement of one of the more intact ruins. Anyone entering this basement will feel a chill and the sense of being watched, most travellers don't use this water as it is obviously haunted by something.

Water seeps from one of the broken wells into a nearby ravine where plants and wildlife cling to life. There are signs that this ravine was once cultivated.

The ancient caravan trails from Resmaldi and Korsepolis converge here before continuing south towards Sumaldi.
