Kelsor's Rules of the Forge

Whether the rules of the forge are religious in nature or not is something of a mystery to non-dwarves, but its a foolish person indeed who would violate them in a forge where a dwarf, let alone an actual follower of Kelsor was present. Not all dwarves hold that there are the same number of rules, or number them the same, and there are no doubt others yet to be documented.

Some of the better known rules are:

: No souls are to be consigned to Brother Hagan here. (Hagan is the collector of dwarven souls.) Also framed as: No dying in the forge.
: Treat everything in the forge like it is alive and it wants to kill you.
 : Everything is always hot.
: If you are going to be focused on something where you must be present, use the jakes first. (This may not have translated well.)
: Do not catch anything you drop. Also framed as: A falling blade has no handle.
: Brother Ofnal is seldom welcome here. (Ofnal is the dwarven god of Luck and Chance.) Also framed as: No action in the forge should begin with "Hold my beer".
: Brother Ustelf is welcome here, but remember he has a robust sense of humour. (Ustelf is the dwarven god of Imagination and Mechanicians.)
: If someone dies trusting their life to a weapon you made and it failed, their death is on you.
: While we all love Sister Faith, we don't want to need her here. (Faith is the dwarven goddess of Healing.)
: Trip hammers do not watch where they fall.
: The ultimate expression of failure is not trying due to the fear of failure.
: Throw nothing in the forge unless you are alone.
