Gates of Haydron
These Gates consists of twelve 30ft tall Doric columns, six to each side, forming five passageways with a large gatehouse tower at each end and a central gatehouse structure across the top of the columned area. The columned area can be closed on both sides by large gates built into the gatehouse towers as well as heavy portcullis that can be dropped from the central gatehouse. The tower at either side rise up to 120ft in height and the central gatehouse rises up to 100ft where it has a crenelated area in the center of which is a raised 10ft platform upon which rests statues of the Rulers of Aladar since the Duchy was founded.
These are imposing gates and have been designed that way to demonstrate to travelers the strength of Aladar and the Western Kingdom.
Behind and to the side of the gates are large barracks buildings for the guards of the gates and wall as well as storehouses and yards for the goods and animals that pass through here. The guards here are known as the Haydron Guards Regiment.
