On the beginning and end

The first world, Tokpela ("Endless Space") was a happy one and the Old Ones lived in complete harmony with the animals and the ancestors of the first people. They loved them and took them to mate and wife. Their wives bore beautiful and powerful offspring. But Darkness -- the ugly one who has no name -- entered the world and the old ones became filled with fear and jealousy and lust. The Old Ones fell to fighting , and fell from grace. They became Nephilim ("The Fallen"). They turned against nature and began to sin against birds and beasts and reptiles and fish, and to devour one another's flesh, and drink the blood. Those who had not been tainted walked to the spaces beyond the world leaving only the Irin ("Watchers") to guard and teach the First People.

In the second world, Kuskurza (?) the First People built huge cities and a vast civilisation. The First People became the Quenyi ("Earth People"), the Teleri ("Sea People") and the Vanyarami ("Sky People"), and they loved and taught the young people. But the First People learned to use their great powers for evil ways. The Quenyi became the Sindari ("Light People") and the Druari ("Dark People"). They called the elements upon themselves and flew on large plates to attack the cities of their enemies. The Teleri fled to the depths of the sea and the Vanyarami walked to the spaces beyond the world. Thus the second world fell into war and only a few good people were saved.

The good people whom the Old Father -- who's name is Xaphan -- saved from the second world came into the third world, called Tuwaqachi ("World Complete"). To claim this world the people had to migrate to the south, to the jungles of the west, to the mountains and to the coasts of the east.

But there will come a time when even though the people are good and remember the Old Father, the other races will become greedy and warlike, and the ugly one shall reappear in the east. The third world will become the fourth, which is called Tokpa ("Dark Midnight").

The time may be known for the young ones will have become as the Nephilim; free and wild, and beyond good and evil, with laws and morals thrown aside and all men shouting and killing and revelling in joy. The wanderers will align, the Nephilim will arise from their uneasy graves and the dead will walk in sunlight. The children of Dagon (fish god?) will stride the earth as masters and make war on the people. The Old Ones will teach new ways to shout and kill and revel and enjoy, and all earth will flame with a holocaust of ecstasy and freedom. The world will spin crazily through space and then freeze solid. But some will fight the Nephilim, and the Pure Ones and the Vanyarami will return from the spaces beyond to fight with the people of purity and the followers of the light.

The tales do not say if there will be a fifth world, but if there is, we, the people, the chosen of Xaphan, must remain pure of heart and spirit, and hope for his mercy and salvation.
