County of Haute Loire
An area in the north east of the Duchy of Tuscana with significant mineral production.
Stralsund
Built on the banks of the Blue Flood, this is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Tuscana. Started in 605 WK by Bowcourt nobility to tap the rich mineral in the surrounding mountains, it's features are quite different from the magically constructed cities found elsewhere.
Built from the local stone and expanded several times the city has a number of separate areas, each with their own pecularities and customs. As the original occupants travelled from the north, the city does not have a port area within the original walls. Instead a tree lined esplanade runs along the river bank, with many small eateries and taverns nearby.
To the south of the old city is the new docks. From there, a ferry runs to the west bank but it has never been bridged. The dock area has a much more frenzied feeling to place, and there is always activity. Many of the bigger taverns and entertainment halls are in the area. The docks also have most of the industry, with the dirtiest industry to the south of the docks, including the tannery, slaughterhouse and foundary.
East of the old city is the newtown. Here is the County Seat, the administrative and commericial buildings and Palais d'Argenta, the official residence of House Davort.
