We are going to put out a new version of the rulebook, hopefully at the next guild meeting or taking orders then. TBC
I am sharing here the google folder of the working documents for comments.
Please add any noticed typos and better wording, especially what you have noticed in your own colleges and skills.
I will change the permissions if necessary for bad behaviour.

I will move artisan and languages up with adventuring skills instead of alphabetically with the professional skills unless there is objection Kelsie | Date |
Is there a definition of entity? Kelsie No explicit definition (that I've seen). It is by exclusion not an Object or Area, and appears to be any living, quasi-living (e.g. elementals, demons), or undead being with stats down to the size of a single ant, perhaps equivalent to "fauna"... with the exception that animated/sentient plants are also fauna rather than flora. Remove storage from colleges and clarify as per discussion. Mention in general magic section where storage info can be found. Also that GM awarded magic generally is restricted in this and in teachability Kelsie | Date |
I have a document in the folder summarising alchemist with notes at the beginning. Discussion required Kelsie (talk) 03:02, 26 March 2023 (UTC) | Date |
I have a document in the folder Rearranging the combat table into strike and defense modifiers, and and the formulae into categories. I find this easier to use and have noticed some that I didn't know existed. I also simplified the air to ground mods there but am not adamant about that. And can we change the aim mods to something we can add or subtract, rather than multiply? Discussion required Kelsie (talk) 03:02, 26 March 2023 (UTC) | Date |
I have a document in the folder rewording greater enchantment Kelsie (talk) | Date |
There are a few places where a "-" is missing from a formula but I don't know where, please keep your eyes open for them and comment them. Kelsie (talk) 03:02, 26 March 2023 (UTC) | Date |
Fixed 56.1 Note H, where "the GM will allow. It bursts on landing (it needn't be thrown at a particular figure), and its effects are determined by the substance contained within. If a "miss" is rolled for the strike check, the GM" had been elided Kelsie (talk) 08:23, 1 April 2023 (UTC) | 1 April 2023 |
Added minus sign to Witchcraft G-11 Summoning Enchanted Creatures to correct formula to: "D10 minutes (-15 seconds / Rank)" Martin (talk) | Date |
Added minus sign to Witchcraft R-1 Controlling Weather to correct formula to: "over 30 minutes (-1 / Rank) per level..." Martin (talk) | Date |
QUERY on ambiguous wording. Celestial College: Creating Light/Dark Sword (S-2). Is only the damage bonus ineffective against a target with the same Celestial aspects as the weapon, or are both SC increase and damage negated? Martin (talk) | Date |
Added minus sign to Celestial Falling Star (S-10 Star) to correct formula to: "takes 5 minutes (-20 seconds / Rank) to arrive (minimum of 5 seconds)." Martin (talk) | Date |
Odd column formatting in section 19.8 Light and Dark Aspect. Maybe just a Google docs thing? Martin (talk) | Date |
QUERY on whether |
Date |
QUERY on the measurement "quart". This appears in only three places in the rules, once each in Water, Rune, and an illustrative note in Alchemist. Would it be worth considering converting the two spell uses to (twice as many) pints and remving this little used measurement? Martin (talk) | Date |
Added minus sign to Water Rainstorm (S-8) to correct formula to: "soaking everything not waterproof in 60 seconds (-5 / Rank)". Martin (talk)
Added minus sign to Water Storm Calling (S-9) to correct formula to: "The storm front will take D10 x 3 (-1 / Rank) minutes to arrive". Martin (talk)
Capitalized "W" on "Witchsight", E&E Wizard's Eye (S-10) Martin (talk)
Added minus sign to Illusion Disguise Illusion (S-5) to correct formula to: "PB of the target +/-2 / 3 full Ranks", though it might be better to write this as "PB of the target plus or minus 2 per 3 full Ranks". Martin (talk)
Added minus sign to Illusion College Illusion of Mist (S-12) to correct formula to: "The visibility in this mist is 20 feet (-1 / Rank)". Martin (talk)
QUERY Can Illusion Nightmare Illusion (S-14) be dissipated by an illusion Special counterspell? It can be dissipated, but what is the mechanism? Similar spells Phantasm and Spectral W#arrior have the same "cannot move through" restriction and state that the effect is ended by casting the same CS over the magical creature. Is this true of the illusion version? Martin (talk)
Added minus sign to Air College Storm Calling (G-6) to correct formula to: "will take D10 x 3 minutes (-1 / Rank) to arrive". Martin (talk)
Added minus sign to Fire College Infravision (T-1) to correct formula to: "after a period of 41 pulses (-2 / Rank) has elapsed". For noting: this is an unusual formulation, periods are usually in seconds. Martin (talk)
Capitalized "W" on "Witchsight", Fire College Immolation (S-7). Left "infravsion" as-is, for some reason it is usually styled without a capital letter. Removed extra period. Martin (talk)
Added degree symbol to Fire College Create Drought (R-1) for consistency with other use in same spell. Martin (talk)
Removed minus sign and added plus sign in Ice College Snowball (S-13) to correct formula and remove double negative: "Each target must resist or suffer a reduction of 1% (+1 / 2 full Ranks) to their Base Chance". Martin (talk) |
