Cenotaph

The name of this world is unknown, "Cenotaph" being an epithet given it for its most notable feature.

This is a dead world, apparently devoid of all life -- flora and fauna. Even the air is flat and lifeless. The seas appear empty, the lands utterly barren rock and wasteland.

At the site where Kadath would be located there is an enormous memorial structure. It is column some miles in diameter, and over a mile high. Its top is dished and a terrific flame burns, extending high into the atmosphere.

The entire structure is carved with writing in an unknown language and emanates a feeling of unending despair.
