Basalic's Tattoos

General

  • A Tattoo is required to be visible to be activated, and for the entire duration, otherwise the corresponding effect is cancelled.
  • Tattoo magic may be countered by a Rune Special Counter. However each effect must be countered separately by targeting the effect. The counter will not prevent the Magic being activated.
  • Activation of any tattoo takes an entire pulse as per activation of an invested. This means that if Basalic is Quickened, it will still take an entire Pulse to activate a tattoo.
  • A free hand is required to activate a tattoo as the tattoo must be touched while activating
  • Maximum Rank of each tattoo is 20.
  • Two or more tattoos can be active at once although only one instance of a particular tattoo may be active at any one time.
  • Even when activated, the tattoo will remain visible on the skin

Tattoo – Magic Sword

  • This tattoo is located on the upper arm of the off hand – in Basalic's case, the right.
  • This creates a flaming magical broadsword with +1/Rank SC, +1/4 Ranks Fire Damage.
  • The sword may only be used by the activator. If out of the activator's hand for more than two pulses, it will cease to function, and need to be re-activated.
  • The sword appears in the hand used to activate the tattoo, which will be the primary, in Basalic's case, the left.
  • While it is active, the sword can be swapped from hand to hand if required.
  • Duration of 10 minutes + 10 / Rank.
  • EM of 200
  • Cost 4 FT.

Tattoo – Shield of Chains

  • This tattoo is located on the upper arm of the primary arm (in this case, the left)
  • This activates a defence spell with a defence of 4% + 3/2 full Ranks (from rank 1).
  • Will also add 1 point of armour for every 3 ranks. This counts as armour as per a suit of armour (not natural).
  • For this to work, no armour (above padded) may not be worn, and nothing may cover the tattoo. No other defence spell will have any effect while this is active.
  • Duration of 1 hr + 1 hr per rank
  • EM of 400
  • Cost 4 FT

Tattoo – Bear

  • This tattoo is located of the Left Half of the Chest.
  • When activated it will create an obviously magical construct that will act like a Kodiak Bear. The construct will obey simple instructions from the activator and will have the instincts of a bear though it's survival instinct will be somewhat weaker
  • The bear may be cancelled at any time, before the duration expires, by the caster, after which the caster may recreate the bear at anytime.
  • If the bear is killed the tattoo will require 4 hours to recharge before being able to be used again.
  • Only one bear may be created at a time.
  • Stats as per listed below for a Rank 0 Bear. Current stats are in brackets

  • Stats increase at 1 per full rank
  • TMR increases by 1 every 4 full ranks
  • NA gains 1 for every 5 full ranks
  • SC increases by 1 for every full rank
  • Damage increases by +1 for every 4 full ranks.

The bear may bite or claw while in Close Combat or it can attempt to 'hug' its victim. The bear may make two claw attacks in Melee.

  • Claws: BC:35% [D+2], Melee and Close (Claws Rank = 1/5 full ranks in tattoo)
  • Bite: BC:20% [D+4], Close[Rank 0]
  • Hug: BC:60% [D+8], Close[Rank 0]
  • Duration 15 minutes + 15/Rank.
  • EM of 200
