43rd Plane of Hell - "The drowning deep"

This is an endless ocean plane with gigantic waves and bottomless depths. The sky has poisonous clouds one thousand feet up and a red , 'lava like' glow from above and gets hotter and more toxic the higher one ascends. The air is still and dead despite the huge seas.

Lightening flashes across the sky at irregular intervals, (every few pulses) suppressing non deamonic magics for a few seconds.

The ocean itself is life draining removing 1 fatigue( then endurance) per pulse and is home to undead water elementals which occasionally attack the living. These undead are similar to standard water elementals with the addition of a D+4 drain per attack. The ocean appears black.

Within the ocean are currents which carry the bodies of the drowned through the ocean in constant pain and torment, these appear at a distance as darker currents of water. Insubstantial possesor deamons occasionally inhabit these people and can use them to attack.

Lastly it is not possible to die on this plane, when Endurance becomes negative you become stilled, aware of your surroundings and feeling all the pain and a sense of drowning while unable to move. Most people will become rapidly insane from this torment.
