Aveice is the capital of Aveice County, in the Duchy of Volar, in the Western Marches.
Aveice is the centre of the respectable world. Anything that can't be done in Aveice isn't worth doing. Volar City is corrupt and poisonous, the DeBourgnac are ruffians, and the Weisbaum Valley is quaint and backwards. Aveice has the greatest minds, and the latest fashions.
Aveice has been an action-packed town in the last decade, with social changes such as the teaching of magic, new church cults, two new counts, and three barons. But the biggest change, and that which really shows the town's resilience is the invasion by Cain and his Black Forest orcs in 802WK. Despite almost half the town being burnt, the townsfolk fought the numerically superior and far-better equipped orcs to a stand-still, and then finally routed them. The Church Knights, traditional protectors of the people, had been powerless to stop the orcs and trolls. Since then, the church is still respected, but people look after themselves rather than relying on teh Angels to look out for them.
New changes include a magic academy that is at least as good as the Crefeinn Academy, and a Printing Press controlled by Count Wilheim. Many people are learning their letters to read the latest broadsheets. Elves has been seen in town. Aveice is a cosmopolitan and humming centre of civilisation.
