Doll of Free Thinking

This is a small, patchwork raggedy doll created by Princess Ozma

Any entity handed the doll must take it as a free action if they have a free hand. It in no way changes current actions, nor is their anything stopping it being dropped as a free action, however a short, 5 second window of Free Thinking is created for them. Anything from Beserk Rage, utter Paranoia, debilitating Phobia, unreasoning Fear or suchlike can be pushed aside, if just for a short time. If no other action is taken, then the original mind set will snap back into place unaltered. Actions from external sources to eradicate or ameleiorate the condition of the entity will gain a free attempt to do so, with +50% on any appropriate base chance, with a minimum chance of 20% even in the most extreme of cases.

Voodoo Doll

This is a specially made doll, carved and dressed to approximately look like its owner. It was created by Princess Ozma, with assistance from Lord Carzon. Once created, the owner must bond to the doll for it to be effective, at a cost of 1 EN

The doll must always be kept in reasonable proximity to the owner to be effective. Not neccessarily in the possession of the owner, but nearby will suffice (~100ft). At any time that the owner takes a Spec Grev, they may choose, as a free action, to pass the Spec Grev to the doll in their place. The EN damage is still calculated and applied to the owner, but the special effects and damage from the Spec Grev table are applied to the doll instead, with all Spec Grevs having a minimum damage of 1 EN. While the doll remains whole, further Spec Grevs may continue to be applied. The doll is considered "broken" when either a Spec Grev is applied that sunders it in some way, or its effective EN is reduced to 0 or less, whichever comes first. The initial EN of the doll is 1, being the bonding amount. Further EN can be supplied by the owner at normal costs, to a maximum of 5.

A "broken" doll can be repaired by a Rank 7+ Seamstress, though the repairs must take place under the light of the Full Moon, using spider silk soaked in 10 Ft of the owners blood, take 4 hours to complete and the cost will be 1000sp

  • WARNING

The doll effects can be considered to be two way. If it should happen that the doll falls into the 'wrong' hands, then violence subjected to the doll will be paralleled onto the owner. The less said about being remotely quartered, or <shudder>, thrown into a fire, the better
