Mithril

Mithril is a hard white lustrous metal with an extremely high melting point. It is a very light metal and is renowned for the way it's presence does not interfere with the practice of magic in any way.
It is a very rare metal and once garnered incredibly difficult to work, requiring magic to heat it to the point where it can be worked.
It is often mixed with silver to form the alloy Truesilver which retains some of the properties of Mithril while being significantly easier to work.
