Campaign Events

Events happen in the campaign constantly and are almost never detailed. Listed below is a set of events that may occur in an area you are GM'ing or as a player you have a vested interest in. Feel free to use the list below which is by no means exhaustive but merely intended to give some scope for various event types in our game. It was sourced from a list of events by John at eikenberry dot com who has given permission to put it here.


Event information

Description of the event

  • What happened. Perhaps include what is widely/commonly known and what actually happened.

Quality

  • What is nature of event (magical, natural, economical, religious, or whim?)
  • How important is the event? (major, medium, minor)

Reason, Location and Timing

  • Where did the event occur?
  • Why did the event occur? (relates to nature of event)
  • How long ago was the "why"? (ancient, past, recent, now)
  • What is behind the event? (one person, group, organization, nation?)

Effect of the event

  • How many will be affected by the event? (one person, group, organization, nation?)
  • What kind of effect will event have? (relates to nature of event)

  • Wedding (between whom, arranged?, An Increase land holdings?)
  • Birth (who are the parents?)
  • Death (of who, how important, political, social or military issues created?)
