Tieran Fasthold

This dwarven stronghold is in the Alsgart range in the Western Marches. It in located between Eastdale and the Waste in the western Drakenburg mountains.

The hold is a series of deep, connected valleys, the dwarves living inside the valley walls. Most of the valley floor is given to farmland and communities of Halflings and Goblins. Due to an odd, ancient law (now a tradition), goblins and halflings are considered one. Some halflings are comely, other halflings are not blessed in that way. The goblins have wisely decided not to rock the boat and take an active role in keeping their less civilised brethren out.

The Fasthold's industry is powered by a set of dams and weirs and associated water mills. In times of dire emergency, the Fasthold has been known to breach the upper dams to inundate the valley.
