Meeting in the guild for our mission details, it seems like the binder fellow Argus is playing a bit of a prank and drew childish picture of himself, pinning it to a chair instead of attending. A blonde, mischievous younger girl named Pixie let us know the book "The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" has been damaged and the Storybrooke Library is asking the guild again for help in fixing the damage, she informed us she's responsible for Argus's tardiness saying "some people don't come willingly". It seems my party cant keep a straight face with the name of this book, especially Winter. Pixie said that this book is different from the previous ones, all of the pages containing text have been removed leaving only pictures and that the book has been leaking ink non-stop since its breaking. We agree to help and sign our contracts, deciding our roles, me (Doc) the scribe. Boom Boom the cook, Argus the milsci, Winter the healer and Echelon the party leader.
Pixie directed us to a clearing to get us to Storybrooke containing an impressive and still in bloom Cherry tree, if I remember right that's where a pervious party of mine left our friendly goblin, Trash. Hopefully he's getting a decent education with all those books in there... She tells us to close our eyes and hug the cherry tree, winter going first hugs the tree but nothing happens, pixie tells us to hold hands and close our eyes as a group before we can go, and we arrive at the Storybrooke Library. We heard a crash and a soft "uh oh" from the second story, pixie gestures for us to look up, where we find Argus was taped to the ceiling of all places. Pixie hinted she was responsible, flew up with a chuckle and untaped his mouth, unsticking him from the ceiling. He came crashing to the floor on top of me after an attempt at catching him. Dwarves are heavier than they look. Boom Boom let out a loud whistle calling for Trash as we all kept an eye out for our little friend, and got a tad excited asking about a sequel to a book of his; "Burning passion?" Must be a pretty exciting ready if he's thirsting for more. I think he spotted my surprise and kicked me for fun, might have been the nifty hat Trash gifted me a while ago though.
Trash stealthily appeared on Echelons shoulders and after a quick catchup with him, he's going to come along with us. Pixie informed us that the book has been kept above a bucket, it's leaking an inky substance and they want to keep it contained as its quite messy. Argus offered another bucket to her as Ollie joined us and confirmed our payment for helping of 35000sp. He let us know that the book is a 'children's tale, not an adventure' while bringing over to us with the book and bucket of strange ink. Winter opened the book and it looks like the pages that have text are missing, the only ones left are pictures of each of the characters with no names listed and the map has been torn out. Argus asks how we're supposed to leave the book, and Ollie offers us a magical handbell that we can ring in an emergency. Ollie let us know the characters are children's toys, that there's a young boy named Christopher Robbin who can be found in a house and that there is a door to the woods by the house. He tells us we need to talk to Christopher Robbin first. Before we leave we do a quick round of DA's on both the book and inky substance leaking from it:

Argus in preparation summons his sabre-tooth iron golem, trash is given some buffs and Winter knocked on the door. An older man answered and we asked if we could see Christopher, he let us know that Christopher is his son, living there with his wife. Winter, proclaimed we were this boys friends, getting a bit offended when the father said we looked a bit large to be friends with his child. Day 1
Meeting in the guild for our mission details, it seems like the binder fellow Argus is playing a bit of a prank and drew childish picture of himself, pinning it to a chair instead of attending.
- DA on the Book:
- Last magic to impact - Waterproofing
- DA on the Ink:
- Nature of Magic - Storytelling
Holding hands again holding the book and are teleported inside it in front of a locked gated and fenced property, a red house un the road from us. It looks like a summers day outside which is a bit jarring. Trying the gate it looks locked but Echelon made short work of it as we made our way up to the front door. After some back and forth with the father, Boom Boom announces we're entertainers, sent by his friends, and that we're his friends too. It's at this moment we realise that Trash has gone missing. Oops.. Boom boom mentions offhand that the book appears to be broken before having a note appear in his hand reminding him that not everyone knows they're in a book. The door is closed on us and we have to figure out another plan.
Argus sends off a clay pigeon golem that he can see through to investigate the upstairs window, spotting Trash tangled in some curtains and panicking, and a young boy hunched over an open book looking unresponsive, not noticing the noise of Trash at all. This seems to be Cristopher Robbin. We DA the house for traps before proceeding:
- House DA:
- Nature of trap ward curse or alarm - No Answer
Argus constructed a ladder made of earth and Echelon climbed up to his window stealthily to rescue Trash and ask some questions. Getting to the Window we saw the toys Ollie mentioned that look just like the characters we saw on the remaining pages. they seem to be neglected and covered in dust, placed in a corner of the room. The rest of the party goes on lookout duty for the parents as Echelon tried to snap Christopher out of his trance approaching him.
He seemed to be dazed and not caring, unfazed by anything going on which we all agree is pretty concerning. We ask him about his friends, the toys. And he tells us he "no longer needs them". Footsteps were heard coming up to Christopher Robbins room as argus loudly climbed up to join Echelon. "Who's trying to get in my window?", "Don't worry about it." Argus used some magic to prevent the door from opening. Talking with Christopher more we learn he hasn't been to the hundred acre wood in some time and get directions to the woods from him. He seems almost unresponsive and uninterested in the conversation. Echelon DA's Christopher to figure out what's wrong:
- DA on Christopher Robbin:
- short lived sentient
- last magic to impact - Darkness
Argus and echelon hear someone about to open the locked door and made their way back outside, unlocking it as we walked away towards the door at the edge of the woods, Christophers mother looked out the window at us before closing the curtains
