Katya gives the goblin the circlet to look at, Then puts it on herself. Now some goblins are staring at her intently. Onyx DA’d a goblin that was under the effect of ‘incomplete recognition’. Katya then also puts on the obsidian ring and grabs the dagger. The dagger drops its illusionary effect and turns into an animalistic curved hand and a half. A goblin grabs it and it turns into a goblin dagger. I remove his fingers rather painfully. We screamed a lot. Katya activates the ring, and a spectral goblin in full plate appears. Uhhhhhhh….. She then deactivates it and it goes back in the ring. <br> | |||

We descend 50ft into the cave into a large round boggy opening with three possible path options. If cut to quarters, two opposing seconds are water and plant and the other two opposing corners are moss and stone. There is a small stone bridge in the Center connecting the stone sections. | |||
We agree to start on the left path. <br> | |||

The left room has a floor table and plant mats on the left and the other half of the room is seagrass to the roof.we decide to return this way if other paths don’t work out. <br> | |||
We then head down the centre path opposite the entrance. Inside the room is an assortment of pottery and storage crates. We hear a gurgling noise from the ahead tunnels. <br> | |||

Doc and I find some fabrics in the crates, some wet paperwork. Also, 4 carved wooden toads. <br> | |||
We see and here some small wildlife exiting both tunnels. | |||
Katya looked down south corridor which split in two. One was glowing at the other end and the other is full of stalagmites and stalactites. <br> | |||
The NW tunnel, we hear a banjo. Lavender sees a large room with a camp site, a large humanoid frog statue, and a conversation pit with 7 humanoid frogs. Lavender made an ‘attempt’ so get a sneak peak and proceeded to faceplant and scare off five of them. Three into the north tunnel and two south. <br> | |||

Doc and I go to fetch some goblins to see if they have more luck. We spot 6 frogmen watching in the water. We recruit 5 goblins to come with us. They seem to be able to translate somewhat. <br> | |||
They say there is a a “scary fishy thingy” behind the waterfall. With some of the frogmen’s treasures. Onyx DAs the banjo frog. It’s a long lived sentient with a personal ward that can be triggered. Katya detected no undead. <br> | |||
The banjo frog can do magic. Our goblin negotiators discuss the frog’s possible payments for solving their cave monster problem. We can keep the stolen treasures and such. They also offered some magic assistance for the giant wolf. <br> | |||
They warned us not to go in the room with pillars. Or we may have to commit babycide. <br> | |||
We are told touching the frog statue will aid us in the waterfall cave. Vath touched the statue, he gained gills, webbing a skin coating and was ‘one with the water’. <br> | |||
We consulted the frogs who ensured we will return to normal two hours after leaving the cave. <br> | |||
We enter the waterfall and wade down a long corridor. It opens into a 100 ft wide 15 ft high cavern, a crescent shaped rocky surface below the back wall with a big spherical rock in the middle, with a squid like octopus on it about 20 ft long. <br> | |||
The sphere shot out a helmet, which it grabbed. We all snuck around the edges of the cave to sneak up on it. Weapons and buffs ready. I’m a sucker for some calamari. <br> | |||

Session 7: Slaying the beast. <br> | |||
Day 5: The battle began, We caught it by surprise. After a few attacks, the orb it was perched on started glowing. It shot out a scimitar and a cannonball. Once we felled the giant sea-creature, the orb lost its glow. Vath is trying to skin the beast… something ain't right with that man.<br> | |||
We looted the piles of junk in the beasts cave. We found art that is reminiscent of the frogmen. Also, two more carved wood toads, 2 tridents that transform into a ring when you focus, two frogs mouth style bucklers, some bones where Katya animates a skull the Vath puts the helmet on, A scroll case full of papers, a 3 foot wide iron lockbox and a set of epaulets. <br> | |||
We returned to the frogmen to claim the reward. Meanwhile Katya converses with the dead. The spirit says they are a taker, an eater and a froglicker, May have been a frolicker, an old viking bard. Now Katya wants to consume its knowledge and go to the moon.<br> | |||

Day 6: The banjo playing frogman prepares a spell to assist in our wolf encounter: A dance of swords affect that increases defence by 22 as long as you move 1 hex per pulse for the next 8 hours. <br> | |||
I picked open the lockbox, after dis-arming the trap, the was a book with a clasp on it inside. The DA on the book showed it was a “locking’ magic. Lim is carrying the book, while we get the goblin malignancy to carry the large lockbox. We then continue North after the Goblins. <br> | |||
At around 2pm we discover a copse of willows around a pond. Lav says it's unusual. There is a large rock in the middle of the pond. The willow has an animal aura strength, and a ‘rapid decomposition’ magic effect. Onyx is now talking to the tree. It’s not talking back, probably because it is a tree. Now she is conversing with the grass, apparently. This Orc is strange. <br> | |||

Session 8: “Where Am I?” <br> | |||
Day 6: About 20 minutes later we spotted some life signs to the east at about 100 ft away. We decided to go and take a closer look at the heat sources.<br> | |||
It appears to be 6 goblins, not in robes like our other ones. A light fog has rolled in around us. I think Katya aged two of them to death? Their hair turned white and they collapsed. Ha! Tiny Goblins are trembling with fear.<br> | |||
We try to head back to where we were before, we now have 7 less original goblins. Doc gets 3 death tingles. I tell the little goblins to huddle up. We heard a loud bell and the fog cleared. There, south is the pond and willow trees again… We definitely did not travel that far… it has moved.<br> | |||
Doc counts and there are now 40 Goblins. They are multiplying, or I'm seeing double. Not sure. <br> | |||
One goblin hit an other with a stick and it went ‘poof’ in a cloud of smoke. Vath started handing out sticks and started a Goblin war. Now there are only 12 left. And a pile of 40 robes. The goblin DA’s said ‘long lived’ which is strange, and they seem… different… less malnourished. <br> | |||

The goblins have drunk the pond water, which might be relevant. But we still have the one that touched the rock in the pond earlier. We tied a rag around his wrist to identify him. Vath says we may have to sacrifice him to the lake, in front of the goblin. He is now even more scared… Didn't think it possible.<br> | |||
We head on and see another 40 robed goblins in the distance about 200-300 ft away. We approached the goblins. They have seen the cow. They will come with us. <br> | |||
We head north again and find a small cliff face, about 15 ft tall…. And the moving pond. | |||
Vath talks to the tree, it is hungry for goblins. He yeets our goblin friend into the pond and he disappears. We then tell the other original goblins to enter, with some convincing and they also disappear. <br> | |||
The rock is a ‘long lived sentient’ and the water is ‘formerly living’ according to Onyx. Lavender get GTN of ‘conduit’ on the rock. And a DA power associated being “Youclease” <br> | |||
Vath talks to the rock. It wants more goblins. We get them to all line up around the pond and on the count of three, they all fell backward into the water and disappeared. The rock is now glowing. There is so much happening… uhhhhh…. Vath says we now need to collect the rest of the “Youclease” goblins and sacrif.. Uhhh re-unite them with the pond. <br> The rock is sending us mental images of the dead wolf with us standing on it. It hungers for more… <br> | |||
The forest parts for us to show the way forward. 90 mins later, we come to the edge of a huge clearing, with an open pit mine about 500 ft across and buildings with about 30 goblins and some penned animals everywhere. <br> | |||
We sneak around the edge and Vath makes us invisible so we can sneak into the manor. We see 2 goblins on a crate being dragged by a boar. We barge in and bust down the door. Most of us head upstairs into a hall into a room where a small 4 foot armoured being gets surprised. I think Lavender was trying to hit him but seems to just be trashing the place. I struck a mage with a Smitey blow! I awoke on the floor and now my head hurts. Lavender was leaning over me. What happened? <br> | |||

We Orcs loot the enemies and nearby rooms and find some trinkets and a tablet depicting a Treant gifting something. We assemble a figure in plate holding a jagged blade that glows, a coronation with a crown and a fountain surrounded by willow trees. Also some plants. <br> | |||
Vath hears some concerning noises below and tells us the building might explode, so we all pile out with the hostage. Vath wants to make sure it does.<br> | |||
I set a fire at the bottom of the stairs and ran for my life. Kaboom! <br> | |||

Day 6: The man by the cauldron is concocting something as we prepare for battle. | |||
Whilst in the midst of combat, I couldn't believe my eyes as Vath telekinetically launched his sack of salt at the alchemist's cauldron. He spotted it and desperately tried to stop it but took the sack to the face and hit his head on the way down, falling unconscious. We managed to slay the swarm of giant cats with our “recruit” who was not in good shape afterwards. Katya Slays the human Alchemist, She casts speak to dead to get information from him.<br> | |||

We loot his corpse and get: 1 hairpin , Cloak , Slippers (DA rugged walking), and empty flasks. In the storeroom, 9 potion canteens 3 doses each (Strength with comedic herculean feats) and various loot worth some silver.<br> | |||
In the storeroom we find A bell which should call the wolf. I cast smite on the party in preparation. (d+7) We have the frogman's defence spell(11 def while still, 22 while moving) | |||
And spectral weapons. We arrange some of the debris as a barricade for extra cover. The animals and goblins were rounded up by Onyx into the remains of the barn. <br> | |||

Day 6: We rung the bell… About 15 minutes later, we hear noises in the bushes and a swarm of wolves and one giant wolf emerge from the opposite side of the mines edge. I summon the spectral goblin from inside the ring. During the battle, somehow, the hoard of goblins acquired some armour and weaponry and decided to join the battle. After the wolves are slain, three tiny goblins are in it’s place after it turns to dust. <br> | |||

Calf Catastrophe
Session 1: The Calftastrophe

Day one: Stonesborough calf missing From Gideons farm.

We walk to Stonesborough over the Day.

Day Two: We head east to Gideons farm.
Looks like a grain and cow farm.
Bald man farting in farming gear says missing calf is “Pickles”. Went missing about a week and a half ago from the far field. Ginger furry highland cow

We reach Margaret’s cottage. Doc want big beef.
Margaret make us tea. Dianna was here recently and saw Moo.
Doc found possible big beef tracks. Dang that’s gotta be a big moo
Vath and Katya commit grave robbery on Margaret’s poor saimese kitty named Pibbles. It now follows. Skeleton cat is scary.
Vath has hair
Hair speak to Vath, is he hair whisperer? Says cow is in direction behind farm, towards forest.
Now in forest heading up stream.
Throw stick at bush. Goblin is riding bunny. Is he bunny pimp?
He is yooclease the third? He ate a cow.
He fall off rabbit
Lavender says goblin is good at animal bondage.
Other goblins no longer alive. Die upstream after goblin soccer.
Lavender grab goblin when he try run again.
Other goblins eaten by bigins that shouldn’t be big.
Plan to go up stream.
(Tea made us not backfire all season)
Session two: The Hunt Begins
Day two: We head on upstream 2 hrs. There’s snuffed campfire smoke in distance. Little hovels dug out in area. Big enough for humans.
Once closer, many carcasses outside hovels.
Entered camp area. Has been ransacked and corpses mostly eaten. Ew.
First hovel fill of pots. I pull one out. Chalk writings show weird mix of teleportation and conjuring overlapped.
Seems to be 20-30 carcasses. Lavender DA’d and they were goblins and dirty orcs.
Next hovel is barracks for a dozen.
Next one armoury.
Katya speaks to the dead. They were killed by large animals.
I think onyx ate poor halfling.
Pots are magic. Randomised procurement is the effect. Range of item can be complex. Distance is infinite. Activated via smashing.
I smash pot. Now there is bread.
Now there is a pot genocide. Got much food items, small piles of currency (1000 silver) 3 pretty daggers, chicken shaped reeds wicken, 2 rods engraved with goblin snapping it and running. Says snap and pray. Sound fun. Milk carton of potions. See through pocket watch. And a fez it is ‘cool’ apparently. Bottles have strange imagery dated for end of season. They must spoil. Hope they don’t smell. Other misc items
Animals came downstream, had a feed and left upstream. Maybe we should turn around.
They were possibly provoked.
We made a bloody bonfire. Not a good smell.
Officer quarters have documents in orcish. They mention someone is boss. I think he’s running for chief. Some short guy offered to sell them fighting animals. Must be the child goblin Youclease.
Armoury trashed. Basic weapons left behind. We may return for it.
We sneak upstream til 2 hours pre sunset. Found big sheep eating grass. It’s big as a cow. A normal cow that is. Not a giant cow like one we are looking for.
Onyx talks to sheep, it said Baa. Sheep is scared. It ran away.
We find a nice tree and setup traps for the night.
I divinated a potion. It is murgiffins fabulous potion. Effect, randomised joy. This will expire also.
Trap triggered. Heard a loud “AH FUCK”
Its not Youclease upside down in tree. He dropped bag.
Bag has 50 tokens with goblin pic on them. They are gifts. They help him if he bites them. They are goblin ex markener? Does random stuff.
It’s a different Youclease? There are many.
Giant wolf is “left of sun up” so north.
Saw cow back towards farm.
I kicked him and gave two tokens. He ran away.
Session three: AHHHH, BUNNIES!!!
Day 3: We decide to follow the trail of destruction. We find 2 large boar and 2 large sheep across the river.
Onyx speaks to a boar and pretends to be a bird. It said the big Moo was with a little two legger. They are upstream With legged one the colour barkless tree.
Boar said cow passed through a couple nights ago.The 2 legged may have had alchemy bottles.
We waited for them to leave before proceeding up the trail.
We walk an hour till mid morning and find a run down foragers cabin. 50 ft away we see roots and herbs on the racks.
I peek through the door, it is well looked after inside. Someone has been living here.
Onyx found some plants that look like they were mutated in some way.
Looks untouched inside, aside from the small hole in the door and a path to a rack.
Silo is empty. Shelves inside shack have crates filled with empty bottles.
Herbs inside are somewhat fresh. Axe marks in the walls or the silo. Someones broken in recently.
We may have to lick some rocks.
We found some empty rusty animal cages nearby. Maybe horse sized.
DA on herbs says they were altered. Alteration, Enhancement, Malleability effects
We found poop. It is from a variety of animals.
We found some cart tracks leading north.
Katya Wants to DA Lavender As Lavender DA’s rock.
We follow tracks for a couple hours. To a small clearing. We found about 5 dirt igloos 7 ft tall.
AHHHHHHHHHH RABBIT, IS SO BIG AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, IT HAS RED EYES. I am now hiding.
Rabbit thinks flesh is tasty. He is big like a dog. There are a dozen of them. Oh dear…
Rabbits are very dead…
Is Vath making a rabbit skinsuit?
We now have a bunny balloon.
Why was that one bunny so scary?
Session 4: The Giant Weiner
Day 3: We question our levitating bunny balloon. He has eaten people before where they was before in the hovels.
He has seen the two legged and cow come through here. He did not know much else so I shot him out of the sky.
We followed the tracks again, and found a fork in the road. We go north following the main tracks. Onyx is looking for poop. We spotted a cave with a structure in front. The tracks lead in.
Vath spots a goblin hiding in a tree watching us. Vath speaks in riddles to the goblin. His master sent him to get things and store them here. I found his bag. Inside are many plant samples of many kinds.
We follow him inside so he can show us the traps and give him his bag. He hears voices. “Every second step” he says. We follow his movements. Lavender missteps and releases some black smoke. Now Onyx and Lavender smell. More than usual.
As the cave opens he warns us not to trip or pet the puppy. We then see many shelves of jars and containers. There is a sleeping weiner on the other side. The goblin runs away.
Vath says it’s not a dog. Looks like a dog. I know dogs. Must be a dog.
Goblin is watching from down the tunnel. We found some more herbs like in the hut.
Doc has detected an undead in the wall behind the weiner. Let's not fight it. We go to leave. Oh dear, now we’re fighting it…
A spectral 6 foot weiner is coming out of the wall, and licking Onyx. I cast smite on everyone which did the trick. It went ‘poof’.
I feel so conflicted… It was soo cute. Such a big weiner. Now Vath wants to wear it.
We now loot the room: 1 weiner dog corpse, 10 rank 3 restoratives(+10), 22 rank 5 waters of healing(d-5+5), one compass that doesn’t point true north. 1 hand and a half, a hand-sickle and a dagger. All silvered.
1 board covered in herbalist/alchemist notes including, making only some parts of the specimen grow, only internals grow, can’t speak, will see if continued applications will work before self tests.
Doc is very kickable. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s his stupid hat.
We leave the cave and the goblin is there. He is also Youclease… of course. His master has a calf, he’s on the other side of the cliff face. He will lead us there.
I think he triggered a trap. Oh, nope he’s being devoured by a HUGE 8 ft wolf. We scared it off luckily.
We need to set up camp. We found a cave to sleep safe from the wolf about 40 ft deep. We rig up the entrance and cover it.
Day four: Doc sees a goblin in a tree again. He’s trying to whisper but is basically yelling. “More than me?” Doc says yes and the goblin leaves. An hour later, he Returns with about 30 other goblins wearing robes like Youclease.
Session 5: Oneclease, Twoclease, Threeclease, Youclease.
Day 4: The Malignancy of Goblins approach and offer help if we help them. They wanted a receptacle. I think they were trying to offer a Reciprocal exchange in services.
We allowed 5 of them to come up into the cave to discuss. They know where to find the one enslaving goblins, and the cow.
They are all of course, named Youclease….
We start to follow the goblins.
We DA their weapons. Club is ‘big hit’ magic, sticks are ‘big boom’
Katya makes them hold hands in two lines to stop them walking the wrong way. Goblins are stupid.
We walk about 12 hours until we find a dugout camping spot for the night. I set up some more traps around the perimeter. Some goblins are doing a chant in the camp. DA said ‘Youclease Ward’. Others are boiling some critters in a hole in the ground.
Goblins set off my trap. Those fools. They can stay there upside down overnight.
Katya spots something shiny in the bush and sends a goblin to inspect. “He needed some persuading” It’s buried in the ground. It appeared to be a metal banded lockbox. She removes it. Inside is some fabric folded around something. It appears to be a copper green circlet. May be cursed. We will look at the rest in the morning.
Goblin Youclease the 8th the 5th is a masochist.
Day 5: As I awaken, There are 4 goblins hanging from my traps… ALL have been triggered.
We DA the items, Cloth has cleanliness aura, The circlet has ‘goblinoid respect’, The black-gold ring with some obsidian has ‘possession’(ownership) aura. There is also a dagger (failed DA).
Katya gives the goblin the circlet to look at, Then puts it on herself. Now some goblins are staring at her intently. Onyx DA’d a goblin that was under the effect of ‘incomplete recognition’. Katya then also puts on the obsidian ring and grabs the dagger. The dagger drops its illusionary effect and turns into an animalistic curved hand and a half. A goblin grabs it and it turns into a goblin dagger. I remove his fingers rather painfully. We screamed a lot. Katya activates the ring, and a spectral goblin in full plate appears. Uhhhhhhh….. She then deactivates it and it goes back in the ring.
We move on heading north under the goblins lead. And they mention a large hole in the ground. A Youclease and Lavender are now arguing about what makes a hole a hole.
We walk 5 hours to this hole that is embedded slightly in the terrain. With a cart-sized opening. Sounds like we’re going in…
I cast smite on us all. Just in case we find our wolf friend.
Session 6: Ribbit
Day 5: March order in the cave is : Koishi and Onyx, Lavender and Doc, then Katya and Vath.
We descend 50ft into the cave into a large round boggy opening with three possible path options. If cut to quarters, two opposing seconds are water and plant and the other two opposing corners are moss and stone. There is a small stone bridge in the Center connecting the stone sections.
We agree to start on the left path.
Lavender DAs the cave which is magic with “localised terraforming”
The left room has a floor table and plant mats on the left and the other half of the room is seagrass to the roof.we decide to return this way if other paths don’t work out.
We then head down the centre path opposite the entrance. Inside the room is an assortment of pottery and storage crates. We hear a gurgling noise from the ahead tunnels.
A big drip snuffs our torch out.
Doc and I find some fabrics in the crates, some wet paperwork. Also, 4 carved wooden toads.
We see and here some small wildlife exiting both tunnels.
Katya looked down south corridor which split in two. One was glowing at the other end and the other is full of stalagmites and stalactites.
The NW tunnel, we hear a banjo. Lavender sees a large room with a camp site, a large humanoid frog statue, and a conversation pit with 7 humanoid frogs. Lavender made an ‘attempt’ so get a sneak peak and proceeded to faceplant and scare off five of them. Three into the north tunnel and two south.
Lavender attempts communication unsuccessfully but there are some elvish hints to their speech. The remaining two seem terrified…
Katya has little more success with communication...
Doc and I go to fetch some goblins to see if they have more luck. We spot 6 frogmen watching in the water. We recruit 5 goblins to come with us. They seem to be able to translate somewhat.
They say there is a a “scary fishy thingy” behind the waterfall. With some of the frogmen’s treasures. Onyx DAs the banjo frog. It’s a long lived sentient with a personal ward that can be triggered. Katya detected no undead.
The banjo frog can do magic. Our goblin negotiators discuss the frog’s possible payments for solving their cave monster problem. We can keep the stolen treasures and such. They also offered some magic assistance for the giant wolf.
They warned us not to go in the room with pillars. Or we may have to commit babycide.
We are told touching the frog statue will aid us in the waterfall cave. Vath touched the statue, he gained gills, webbing a skin coating and was ‘one with the water’.
We consulted the frogs who ensured we will return to normal two hours after leaving the cave.
We enter the waterfall and wade down a long corridor. It opens into a 100 ft wide 15 ft high cavern, a crescent shaped rocky surface below the back wall with a big spherical rock in the middle, with a squid like octopus on it about 20 ft long.
The sphere shot out a helmet, which it grabbed. We all snuck around the edges of the cave to sneak up on it. Weapons and buffs ready. I’m a sucker for some calamari.
Session 7: Slaying the beast.
Day 5: The battle began, We caught it by surprise. After a few attacks, the orb it was perched on started glowing. It shot out a scimitar and a cannonball. Once we felled the giant sea-creature, the orb lost its glow. Vath is trying to skin the beast… something ain't right with that man.
We looted the piles of junk in the beasts cave. We found art that is reminiscent of the frogmen. Also, two more carved wood toads, 2 tridents that transform into a ring when you focus, two frogs mouth style bucklers, some bones where Katya animates a skull the Vath puts the helmet on, A scroll case full of papers, a 3 foot wide iron lockbox and a set of epaulets.
We returned to the frogmen to claim the reward. Meanwhile Katya converses with the dead. The spirit says they are a taker, an eater and a froglicker, May have been a frolicker, an old viking bard. Now Katya wants to consume its knowledge and go to the moon.
The frogmen are playing some kind of poker with the Goblins. They do seem happy to see us. They offered a space for us to camp for the night in a part of the cave.
Day 6: The banjo playing frogman prepares a spell to assist in our wolf encounter: A dance of swords affect that increases defence by 22 as long as you move 1 hex per pulse for the next 8 hours.
I picked open the lockbox, after dis-arming the trap, the was a book with a clasp on it inside. The DA on the book showed it was a “locking’ magic. Lim is carrying the book, while we get the goblin malignancy to carry the large lockbox. We then continue North after the Goblins.
At around 2pm we discover a copse of willows around a pond. Lav says it's unusual. There is a large rock in the middle of the pond. The willow has an animal aura strength, and a ‘rapid decomposition’ magic effect. Onyx is now talking to the tree. It’s not talking back, probably because it is a tree. Now she is conversing with the grass, apparently. This Orc is strange.
A Goblin touched the tree and nothing happened. He also drank some of the pond water. Still, nothing happens. Lav finds some animal tracks leading into the pond.
The goblins say they lost visuals on the big rock we were heading toward. Vath turned the goblin into a balloon, now he can see the rock. We now know where to go.
Session 8: “Where Am I?”
Day 6: About 20 minutes later we spotted some life signs to the east at about 100 ft away. We decided to go and take a closer look at the heat sources.
It appears to be 6 goblins, not in robes like our other ones. A light fog has rolled in around us. I think Katya aged two of them to death? Their hair turned white and they collapsed. Ha! Tiny Goblins are trembling with fear.
We try to head back to where we were before, we now have 7 less original goblins. Doc gets 3 death tingles. I tell the little goblins to huddle up. We heard a loud bell and the fog cleared. There, south is the pond and willow trees again… We definitely did not travel that far… it has moved.
Doc counts and there are now 40 Goblins. They are multiplying, or I'm seeing double. Not sure.
One goblin hit an other with a stick and it went ‘poof’ in a cloud of smoke. Vath started handing out sticks and started a Goblin war. Now there are only 12 left. And a pile of 40 robes. The goblin DA’s said ‘long lived’ which is strange, and they seem… different… less malnourished.
The white haired catatonic goblins have now woken.
The goblins have drunk the pond water, which might be relevant. But we still have the one that touched the rock in the pond earlier. We tied a rag around his wrist to identify him. Vath says we may have to sacrifice him to the lake, in front of the goblin. He is now even more scared… Didn't think it possible.
We head on and see another 40 robed goblins in the distance about 200-300 ft away. We approached the goblins. They have seen the cow. They will come with us.
We head north again and find a small cliff face, about 15 ft tall…. And the moving pond.
Vath talks to the tree, it is hungry for goblins. He yeets our goblin friend into the pond and he disappears. We then tell the other original goblins to enter, with some convincing and they also disappear.
The rock is a ‘long lived sentient’ and the water is ‘formerly living’ according to Onyx. Lavender get GTN of ‘conduit’ on the rock. And a DA power associated being “Youclease”
Vath talks to the rock. It wants more goblins. We get them to all line up around the pond and on the count of three, they all fell backward into the water and disappeared. The rock is now glowing. There is so much happening… uhhhhh…. Vath says we now need to collect the rest of the “Youclease” goblins and sacrif.. Uhhh re-unite them with the pond.
The rock is sending us mental images of the dead wolf with us standing on it. It hungers for more…
The forest parts for us to show the way forward. 90 mins later, we come to the edge of a huge clearing, with an open pit mine about 500 ft across and buildings with about 30 goblins and some penned animals everywhere.
We sneak around the edge and Vath makes us invisible so we can sneak into the manor. We see 2 goblins on a crate being dragged by a boar. We barge in and bust down the door. Most of us head upstairs into a hall into a room where a small 4 foot armoured being gets surprised. I think Lavender was trying to hit him but seems to just be trashing the place. I struck a mage with a Smitey blow! I awoke on the floor and now my head hurts. Lavender was leaning over me. What happened?
I am told one of the enemies defenestrated themselves, the Necros then got a death buzz… They tell me Doc tried the same thing? No death buzz though.
Lav and Doc interrogated one of them, He said the master is doing his alchemy in the basement. He helps watch the goblin servants. He says the masters alchemy might blow up the house.
We Orcs loot the enemies and nearby rooms and find some trinkets and a tablet depicting a Treant gifting something. We assemble a figure in plate holding a jagged blade that glows, a coronation with a crown and a fountain surrounded by willow trees. Also some plants.
Vath hears some concerning noises below and tells us the building might explode, so we all pile out with the hostage. Vath wants to make sure it does.
I set a fire at the bottom of the stairs and ran for my life. Kaboom!
Left behind was a 15 foot crater, at the bottom, A man next to a cauldron surrounded by a bunch of cats.
Session 9: Meow
Day 6: The man by the cauldron is concocting something as we prepare for battle.
Whilst in the midst of combat, I couldn't believe my eyes as Vath telekinetically launched his sack of salt at the alchemist's cauldron. He spotted it and desperately tried to stop it but took the sack to the face and hit his head on the way down, falling unconscious. We managed to slay the swarm of giant cats with our “recruit” who was not in good shape afterwards. Katya Slays the human Alchemist, She casts speak to dead to get information from him.
He made the bigger animals to help with the mining.
More potions are in the storeroom.
He made the giant wolf. He can call the wolf with some kind of sound making item in the storeroom.
The Enlargement potions wear off in around a month.
The cow we are looking for is not at this campsite/mine.
The cow is with the giant wolf.
We loot his corpse and get: 1 hairpin , Cloak , Slippers (DA rugged walking), and empty flasks. In the storeroom, 9 potion canteens 3 doses each (Strength with comedic herculean feats) and various loot worth some silver.
In the storeroom we find A bell which should call the wolf. I cast smite on the party in preparation. (d+7) We have the frogman's defence spell(11 def while still, 22 while moving)
And spectral weapons. We arrange some of the debris as a barricade for extra cover. The animals and goblins were rounded up by Onyx into the remains of the barn.
Doc drinks one of the potions, And he seems…. Jittery. His strength increased by 50 and he now can only do non-lethal damage. Also, damaging objects send them flying.
Session 10: Bing Bong
Day 6: We rung the bell… About 15 minutes later, we hear noises in the bushes and a swarm of wolves and one giant wolf emerge from the opposite side of the mines edge. I summon the spectral goblin from inside the ring. During the battle, somehow, the hoard of goblins acquired some armour and weaponry and decided to join the battle. After the wolves are slain, three tiny goblins are in it’s place after it turns to dust.
Session 11: Confuddlement and Discombobulation.
Day 6: Looking around after things calm down we notice A very large fluffy brown cow looking rather discombobulated. The floating wolf and the goblins are Da’d. The youcleases give ‘personal embodiment’ as nature of magic aura, ‘everywhere is home’ plain of origin, and Magical effect on death is ‘reconstitution’
Suddenly, the goblins say “hi”. Lavender asks if they are a person or people, which they simultaneously reply “peoples” But one says he used to be a couch???
My head hurts trying to keep track of these little green idiots. Sooner we return them to the rock, the better.
Onyx used DA on the giant 3 story tall calf and “end of full effect” is one month. So it should be back to normal calf size then. Poor Pickles.
After rambling some more nonsense, The Youclease trio Finally shut up and proceeded towards the pond. We collect up our loot and follow them until we reach the mystical moving pond.
They say we can keep the goblin loot and then say “Bye!” And cannonball into the pond.
The pond glows and A silhouette of a figure appears and rapidly changes shape before vanishing, they pond draining away, Like it was never there.
A DA was done on this leather sack left behind in the middle of where the pond used to be.
Nature of magic was ‘potential of the many one’ Effect upon opening” was ‘guided acquisition’
We start heading back over the next 3 days and the calf slowly shrinks down to 2 stories tall.
Day 9: We return Pickles to the farmer and go back to the Guild. I still have no idea what Youclease was.
