= Overview =
Salicton is the main town in the [[Gyldwasser Mountains]] and stands near the start/end of [[Ned's Trail]] the main route into and out of the central Gyldwasser Mountains. The towns populations is around 2,500 permanent beings and the surrounding mountains have another 1,000 who are mainly hunters, trapper, mad people and the like.<br/>

Salicton is nestled in small vale with another narrow valley allowing passage through some lessor peaks beyond which you see a large plateau ([[The Plateau of Leung]]), nestled between two large cobalt blue lakes ([[Lake Tsang]] and [[Lake Travis]]) and all is surrounded by the high mountain peaks of the Gyldwasser Mountains.

The town runs north south along the SE edge of [[Lake Tsang]]. The town 


= History =
* The Battle of Salicton was fought on the 11th of Thaw (Spring) 812WK when a large force of humanoids and Drow allies attempted to take the town and deny the central Gyldwasser Mountains to Western Kingdom / Aladarian forces. A party of [[The Gyldwasser Depths|adventurers]] were there who aided in the defence and helped save what was left of the town and its valiant defenders after the battle.



= Economy =

Crops grown here and in the surrounding areas are Assam Herbs (tea), grapes and melons which all grow well at the high altitude and have very intense and unique flavors. The locals each year produce a large amount of juice that they distill and bottle before laying them down in large insulated barrels in deep cellars. The area is known for its production of an alcoholic spirit named '''Leungs Gold''' which is an-aged liquor much in demand for its potency, taste and its rarity as only a limited amount is made each year.
