Newhaven Castle
At the south end of the valley of Newhaven built into the lime cliffs is a fortress. It is off limits to outsiders. It has two large earth Elementals sitting in plan view outside the castle.
Castle Newhaven (Newhaven) This is the seat of power of Count Engalton Redwood of Newhaven. The Count is a driven man who, unlike many other lords, has been active in building up the area and improving the standard of living in Newhaven. He is a supporter of the use of magic to future his ends and is also known to be a follower of the Gabrielites. He is a supporter of Lord Leto DeWinter, Baron Rainer, and Carzala. He is also a member of the Seagate Adventurers' Guild.
The Count is a young and physically powerful man (this year), who is in good health. He has a curse which means he is always recognisable to all that view him. Most think of him as a good and fair leader who is quick to react to threats to Newhaven, its people, or his friends. The Count was recognised for his service and bravery to Carzala and the Western Kingdom with the Alusian Cross and Order of Merit. When Engalton is not in residence at Castle Newhaven, he is often accompanied by four large lions in armour and six mind mages. The 'Wicca-blessed lands and estates' of; Havenhead, Landfall, Eastrock and Newhaven all report to the court of the Count at Castle Newhaven. Engalton Redwood is married to Liessa Varden of Brandenburg. They have no children.
Chamberlain: Castle Newhaven's Chamberlain is Lord Justin Ejaz of Saktekorum (of the Five Sisters). He is a tall human who appears to be in his late twenties. He is a mind mage of some skill. He is widely travelled and speaks several languages. He is accomplished in courtier skills to a middling level and is seeking to improve them. He is always well dressed. He runs the Count's affairs at the Castle when His Lordship is not present.
Captain of the Newhaven Guard: Castle Newhaven is also home to Lady Anna Lumm of Arabia. She is a tall human of olive complexion, who looks to be in her late twenties but has an older outlook on life. She speaks softly in Common most of the time. She is not from the culture of the Western Kingdom and is a hopeless diplomat, avoiding courtiers and noble warrior types. She is also a mind mage of great skill. She is one of the people responsible for the Newhaven Stone and the Castle Defence System. She reports to Lord Engalton or Lady Liessa.
Lady Anna Lumm also runs the outpost forts of; Redwood Bridge, Birch Hold, North Point, and South Summit. The villages and hamlets of; Berry Villa, Redwood, Twickson, Castpoint, and the city of Newhaven all report to Castle Newhaven.
