			=== Chapter One: Getting Started ===
			We met at the Guild with Brother Phaeton and the Archmage Spica from Pacifica. We, being myself, Flamis, a Fire mage of some note, Lord Engleton, a Namer who has branched out somewhat, Lady Liessa, also a Namer: Keshah, a powerful Rune mage; and Vargr, an Earth mage. I knew most of these people only by reputation. We were hired to locate and recover one, and hopefully, two of the Elemental Stones of Harmony that would be required to close an abyssal rift in the region of [[Pasifika]] that was allowing Horrors to enter the world. Spica told us that their astrologers had learned that the Fire Stone was to be found near the City of Malacandra on [[Thunor]], in or on the Great Mountain there. All they knew of the Water was that it was somewhere on [[Freya]].

			After making our preparations, we made our way to the Bethsalem portal in the Sea of Grass and went through to Pasifika. There we met with Professor of the Gentlefolks’ Exploratory Society. I was happy to use the Pasifika portal to go to Malachandra, but Engleton convinced the Professor to take us there by spelljammer. We landed on the edge of a vast crater on top of an enormous shield volcano, near where we could make out a cavernous entrance.

			=== Chapter Two: Trial by Fire ===
			The cavern narrowed to a tunnel that wound down into the mountain. This eventually opened into a mess of passages. We were set upon also immediately by fire creatures which were soon defeated. A little further and I sneaked into a narrow tunnel which led to a cave with a fiery ooze creature covered with blades. It couldn’t get at me, but I could fire a bunch of cold at it, until it expired with a ghastly stench. Meanwhile, behind me, the party engaged a shadowy creature. We came into a more open area, with a green crystalline pillar in a lake of lava. A Xorn sat by the pillar, caressing it. Fire drakes flew out of the lava and attacked the party, but they were soon dispatched. We used fire arc to cross the lake, and then we continued on down.

			=== Chapter Three: It’s Elementary. ===
			We came out into a cavern that had ridges of rock surrounding pools of lava. And were promptly attacked by fire mephitis and fire elementals. As we began to fight them off, we soon discovered that we could not draw mana. However, it proved possible to cast using items that had stored mana, and we used fire arc to cross the cavern to where there were two gigantic fire elemental lords waited. Engleton led the negotiation that followed and we were able to secure their promise of the loan of the Fire Elemental Stone together with an item that would allow them to be contacted when needed.

			=== Chapter Four: Going Shopping ===
			Having exited the mountain, we made our way to the nearby portals. The decision was made to go into the City of Malachandra and spend the night there at an inn. This was one of the Seven Cities of Pacifica and was mainly populated by brown-skinned humans who spoke their own version of Pasifikan and strangely- accented Common. In the morning, we found a bustling market and were directed to a shop that sold trinkets and items for adventurers, some obviously sourced off-plane. We found many things that were to our liking and made a number of purchases.

			=== Chapter Five: Meetings ===
			Engleton wanted more, and dragged us to an apothecary’s shop where he purchased a number of potions of blessing on unborn child. Apparently, he has plans. We spent the night quietly enjoying a fine roast dinner and good wine at the inn. We did some divinations, learning that wherever the Water Stone was, it was deep and dark.
			In the morning we went to the portal and through to Perelandra on Freya. It was suddenly much warmer and a lot damper. There was a welcoming committee of merfolk. We were expected, and we were late. We were taken to meet with the ruler of the place, Queen Annelsie, below the waters in a domed city. They told us that the Water Stone was believed to be in the deepest trench of their oceans. We’d need some help for this one. There was mention of Sahuagin, and of an enormous dragon turtle. It was also some considerable distance away.

			We went to the market and found a remarkable junk shop. There were all sorts of bric-a-brac to be found, some of it more magical than most. We purchased potions of buoyancy to protect against the pressure along with a Belt of buoyancy that worked like a Pearl of water breathing. These would protect us from the pressure at depth. There was also a handsome magical trident, and another that was somewhat damaged but had magical bane properties. I said that I thought I might be able to fix that, and the shopkeeper threw in a badly broken dagger for me to work on.

			=== Chapter Six: Attack ===
			Engleton was called back on business to Alusia, but sent us a water mage, Remel, as a replacement. Remel’s arrival solved a lot of logistical problems. We spent some considerable time discussing how we’d get to the chasm and settled on using Keshah’s flying boat.

			And that’s when the alarms went off. We were told that a force of sahuagin accompanied by sharks and a dragon turtle was advancing on the city. Scouts had reported them as being about a hour away. Thank the powers that I can set a ward in just half an hour, so I placed a dragon-flames ward set to sonic damage outside the gates where the sahuagin were expected.

			They came… The city defenders readied archers and ballistae. Keshah shot at the leaders as soon as they were in range. Remel used geas to persuade the dragon turtle to just go away. I used bolts until they triggered the ward just as they got into range of dragon-flames which went off within seconds of each other and blew a hole right through the middle of the advancing sahuagin force. The rest retreated in disarray, leaving an assortment of weapons, potions and some magical dragon turtle scales that aid with swimming.

			=== Chapter Seven: Into the Deep ===
			We set forth next day after I had time to fix up that trident. It cleaned up very shiny, and proved to have bane properties, doing extra damage against sahuagin.
			After some days of travel, we reached what we believed to be the target area, after conversing with some whales. We prepared ourselves and began our long dive into the deep. We fell for some time into the dark depths, until we were set upon by some aggressive giant angler fish. We fought back with magic and weapons, but then one got too close to me. I triggered my sunstone and the fish retreated rapidly from the bright light. Below we caught a glimpse of a gigantic squid that also swam away from the bright light. And below that, on a submerged ledge was a sunken ship.

			=== Chapter Eight: Undead horde ===
			For a moment, it seemed all serene. But then the undead rose out of the murk. They were Lacedons, a watery variant of ghouls. A small horde of them. Dressed in the remnants of sailor’s clothing from centuries ago. Two seemed somewhat larger and more commanding, the Captain and the Mate. They proved to be spell-casters; a Water-mage and a Namer.

			We approached from above, as they rose to meet us. Remel had his water elemental cast a maelstrom to gather them up. Keshah and Vargr concentrated on hitting them. I blasted them from above with sonic flames. Liessa countered their magics. Finally, the maelstroms gathered enough of them together that I could blast them all together at once. And that was that.

			=== Chapter Nine: Water elementals ===
			We found a cavernous entrance that led to a series of tunnels and caves. Figuring this must be where the water elemental key was hidden, we entered. It soon became apparent that this was a place made by the work of sentients, with smooth, squared-off hallways. We entered a room, and were promptly attacked by a large crab, and a swarm of small ones. Remel took control of the large crab while I used a low-powered sonic blast to take care of the swarms. It was all over quite quickly. We moved on and came upon a small water elemental. It could talk, and so we explained what we were doing here. It agreed to take us to its leaders. Which got us past any potential hazards and straight to the explanations and an agreement that the water elemental key would be available when required.

			=== Chapter Ten ===
			We thought it all over when we returned to the city, but then the alarms went off. There was another rather large problem. A giant octopus had apparently gone insane and was causing havoc. Could we help it? Or at least stop it? With a combination of magic, alchemy and healing we managed to stop it and bring it to its senses. It rewarded us with some fine presents. And then, we returned to the Guild, well-pleased with our success.

	The portals are divinated and they're quite old. They all seem to be relatively the same. 	We visit an area of the Olympus plains that has a 40 kilometer diameter section that we can't fly over or walk too far in to <span class='K'>as it tends to 'bend' one's direction of travel away from the centre of the plain</span>.
