Bridget, the summer palace picture shows a building very different in structure and setting from the 'actual' palace. I've got no problem with using art/photos to add interest to scribe notes, but this is actively misleading.

There are hundreds of castles and palaces that are in the public domain. I recommend taking a look at [http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Palace Palaces] and [http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Castle Castles] for a reasonable selection. Actual accruacy is secondary to having some pictures break up mountains of text. The Summer Palace is a towering structure in a forest and is more vertical than horizontal, That the picture reflects this is enough.--[[User:William|William]] 17:52, 5 Mar 2008 (NZDT)

: Wow, what totally differing viewpoints. My first thought was 'castle on a hill', which clashed badly with 'palace we got the employers to abandon because it wasn't defensible.'
