New page

Sir Samuel was the third son of a Millerfrom a small town in Southern Aladar.

History
From his earliest days he was interested in theological problems, and his precociousness in this respect appears to have brought down on him the wrath of an uncle who upon the death of Samuels father entered Samuel into holy orders and disowned him from the family.

During his time with the church he developed an appreciation of literature and began a scholarly quest on behalf of the church to research the origins of the Powers of Darkness and the nature of the cults and religions that formed from them.

For many years he wandered the Kingdom not only researching but improving his martial skills in order to survive the perils of the road.

So his life might have continued had he not hears scream while passing a wood in central Aquila and gone to the aid of a young woman who was attacked while mushrooming in the kingswood. Subduing her attackers and returning them (as well as the young woman) to the local guard brought Samuel to the attentions of a young guard who turned out to be the son of King William the Learned who was in hiding from his uncle John Frederick.

With others of a similar bent, Samuel assisted Sigismund in the attack that deposed Ivan Vladimir and restored the line of the Western Kingdom. As a reward for their assistance the followers of Sigismund were knighted and became the Templar Knights.
