So we followed the drunken sailors to the gate to the docks, which was open, but guarded. Ibin asked the gate guards, but they did not remember the halflings. What they did recall was a wagonload of barrels, which sounded hollow. Which was odd because barrels of food or goods heading on to the docks ought to be full. It was beginning to sound as if Grizeldaâ€™s theory, that the halflings were taken by slavers, was right. Sauros suggested that we pretend to be drunk so we could wander around the docks. As it turned out, one drunken-seeming, loudly singing, swaying and beer-stinking giant was ample diversion.
