	The internal tensions had been growing for some centuries, mostly due to lack of attention be given by the central court to minor grievances from within the provinces. The lack of attention, and the failure by the provinces to solve their own issues, can to a degree be blamed on a demon-cursed slumber affecting the whole of Alfheim. Ladlaugh almost seceded from the Queendom and Elvandor went its own way, leaving the Queen with almost no military. Most of the other provinces planned changes.
