One of the guards then, reached inside his cloak & removes a magic doll which he pulls the head off causing a magical surge bringing terrible damage to us allâ€¦ (I was mainly stunned that someone would bring a doll to battle - who does that - not even the most junior of Valkyries?). Anyway he is rapidly dispatched when he pulls out a 2nd doll. The elemental's summoner dies & the elemental having gone feral for a spell is eventually finished off by ....Boris!?! ( which is battle poaching of the first order if I ever saw it - a serious offence & frowned on in most well mannered Northern societies) & after I had done Odin's share of the damage to it.. You can hardly skald before a feasting hall of cheering likeminded scarred battleworn warriors well soaked in ale, banging their helms on the table bragging about how you '''almost''' killed an 80 foot tall earth elemental, single handedly.. it doesn't have quite the same ring to it.. But Boris is a faithful shield companion so I'll have to bring it up as subtly as I can without resorting to blows next time we are drinking ...
