Wild Larry's Gang

This band of bandits and thieves have preyed on travellers through SW Aladar since 796 when there were but 4 bandits in the 'gang'. The past decade has seen the numbers grow until last report (3rd Thaw 806) there were 30 bandits led by Wild Larry raiding SW Aladar.

Wild Larry's bandit gang were caught by Silus von Merkel and his guardsmen on 4th of Meadow 807 as they attempted to raid a caravan carrying gold from the mines of Zouche down to Felnoc on the Edlin River. The bandits were mostly killed by the guards but 12 were taken to Schontouse and hung on the 10th of Meadow 807

The Mudrackers

The Mudrackers gained their notoriety from their actions where they often lay in fens or mud waiting for passing merchants to waylay. These bandits have mainly numbered about 30 over the past 6 years they have been raiding (801 to 807) due to their successes and they vanish quickly into the countryside once any sign of patrols is seen or their raiding done.

The 'Mudrackers' gang was tracked down to its hideout in Cyldrons Wood and half were killed by Silus von Merkel and his guards as they 'resisted arrest'. The remaining 8 men were taken to Breginkirch and hung on the 13th of Meadow 807.

Other Assorted Criminals

The Collector

Rumours of a mysterious being or entity with a penchant for 'collecting' special and unique items have abounded for a number of years. The whereabouts, motives, method of operation or anything else is not really known except there have been at least 8 cases over the last 20 years where people of note have had items (either single items or their entire lot) taken, never to be seen again.

There may have been many more cases which we guild Librarians are unaware of and there would be many reasons for not admitting the theft of such items, such as shame, unawareness of teh theft or many others. We know of these only through gossip and a few bits of information glened from old texts here and there.

Notables who have lost items are:

In 794 Byron was returning from defeating a powerful necromancer with three comrades and some loot, late one night when they were attacked by several assailants. Byron succumbed immediately to whatever attack it was and fell quickly but some of his companions must have fought on for a short time. When he came to he had been stripped of all his armour and weapons while two of his companions were dead and the third died soon after Byron got to him but was unable to offer any help as all items the group owned or had 'recovered' were missing as well.

Byron with the help of guildmates made attempts to locate some of his lost unique items but to no avail.

In 793 Kasmira returned to her lodgings one night to find the powerful Thaumaturgical wand she had recently gotton from her last adventure missing with no trace.

in 795 Forstan was found dead in his Seagate home the victim of an apparent robbery gone wrong. All of his adventuring gear had been stolen including XXXX.

In 797 this renowned mage was found uncouncious in his personal laboratory and he had lost his tomes of xxx as well as the formulas for 8 potions of what he described as magnitudinal magic.

In 799 this competant Mage was found skewered against a wall in the alley next to her home. The sword skewering her had been rammed into the wall and most of the way through. She was found to have lost the entire contents of her home. She was probably killed for being about to discover the robbery in the act.

In 800 this skilled mage (or what was left of him) was found in his home which had been stripped of a number of items.
