The former Countess (Katerina) is a daughter of the late Duke Frederick of Aquila, the former Regent of the Western Kingdom. Katerina is married to Baron Silverfoam.
The county is located to the north of Marquisate of Middlemarch and a mixture of fertile cwms (valleys which support fertile farms) and wilder moors (where many flocks graze, despite the depredation of Halfling sheep-rustlers from Gracht).
