Adventure: In Search of Knowledge (aka Looking for the book and netting the bastard)

The adventurers guild meeting of 1st April 1992 saw the coming together of an unusual group of people, all of whom had elected to fulfill a mission for a sorcerer named Camdindel.

The party composed of

After a period of discussion with the party employer we were informed that transport to his home (a tower on an island in the center of a nearby lake) would be provided us the following morning outside the guild gates.

As all adventurers do the party saw this 'rest period' as something to use wisely and accordingly most of the party departed to the Cabbage and Dog Tavern in Seagate to carry out a thorough inspection of the beer kegs (once they had drunk them dry that is) to test for any unusual effects, substances or events. Karys meanwhile stayed behind and undertook some slightly more productive by going to the library and researching what was known about Camdindel, The Sorcerer College of Magic, an Electric Discharging sword, magical/sentient tomes and a mana being named Abnor.

Karys's research revealed that it is possible for there to be a ½ Drow Sorcerer named Camdindell, Sorcery is a theoretical college of magic, , no information on the electric discharging sword, no information on sentient/magical tomes and nothing about Abnor.

A typically vague astrology reading was commissioned to ascertain wether or not our mission would be successful and as per usual we got no information so we did what all good party's do and ignored the obviously useless piece of verbiage.

The Morning after the guild meeting. We were all waiting when our carriage drew up to the guild gates - well except for Ugbash who was still lying face down in a pool of his own making and cluttering the gutter. We all noticed something strange about our carriage and horses in that it was in fact a bone shaped carriage drawn by undead horses and driven by a zombie 'coachman'. Oh well we had all agreed to undertake this mission and thus we entered the carriage and we started our journey southwest. The ride was fast and smooth as we were actually flying along at a good speed and some 100miles and 5 hours later we arrived at Camdindel's tower.
